I'm early 50's and my eyesight is not what it used to be. I shot about 400 rounds of CCI Mini-Mag 40 grain last week. At 25 yds, table shooting, I had 2 to 3 inch grouping using standard stock sights. I had the apperature set to the smaller one. I flipped to the large apperature and was all over the place.

I haven't tried 50 yards yet....but I need to ask....what are some of you other guys seeing for accuracy? Distance? With or without a scope? Just trying to get a comparison.

I've put about 100 rounds thru 2 weekends ago just to site it in, and I was actually impressd with the accuracy. It obviously isn't a sharpshooter, but I went in expecting very little as far as accuracy, and was pleasantly surprised. After sighting in with a walther p55 red dot, I was tearing a quarter size hole out of the center of the target at 25 yards. Im not sure what everyone else is shooting, but thats pretty good in my eyes, especially since I'm generally not the greatest shot. :D

when sighting in my red dot at 25yds i got similar results. i have about a 2" group @25 shooting as fast as i could. this was seated bench shooting though

I was actually very happy w/ mine today. 1" groupings at 25 meters standing w/ the iron sights through the fast aperture. Same w/ my red dot. I moved out to 50 and they were about 3 times that though(as I said I was standing). I have a steel target that has 3 swivels. The smallest being about the size of a 50 cent piece. 4 of 5 shots at 25 meters w/ red dot. I was very happy b/c I have never been a big iron sights shooter and it looks like I am starting to get better at it.
I can't imagine this rifle having a larger grouping at 25' than quarter size when shot from a bench. That just doesn't seem possible to me.

I need a couple of clicks right windage.

100 rounds (four full magazines) as fast as I could obtain an acceptable sight picture and trip the trigger. 50 yards. Standing. Unsupported. Just having fun!

If you're shooting cloverleaf groups you're not shooting fast enough!

Two full mags + a few rounds or Fed Val Pack at a 2 inch Shoot N C with a SightMark reflex sight at 50 yards. About 1sec shots standing up but leaning on a post.

Gotta agree with Chuck... these rifles ain't for patient trigger fingers. :D:D:D:D:D

+1 And besides... 25 feet is for rock throwing.

Pic is 22/45 at 50 feet off hand 200rds Fed Val Pack. If we're saying that some 15-22s can't do this at half the distance... geeeesh...

at the indoor range I go to you can't rapid fire or double tap...

I told them it wasn't my fault the gun made me do it.:D

LOL! Valid excuse!

Rapid fire at steel... ding ding ding.... ain't nutin better.

Federal Bulk Pack gives 2-3" ten shot groups @ 50 yards with either a 1 moa red dot or the iron sights.
Wolf Match Target went under 1" @ 50 yards with a 9X scope for five shots.
This was indoors on a bench with sandbags.

well i'm going to try to make it better by trying some .22lr tracers:D They probably won't cycle through the gun right:rolleyes: but I'm sure its worth a try:D

Great observation Jerry, I didn't catch it until your post. Very appropriate.

2" groups all day with walmart federal value packs at 25 yards. ( longest distance my indoor range has ) using a center point red dot scope.

Thanks.

Old style 22/45 polymer frame.

Volquartsen Scope Mount: Held in place by rear sight groove mount. No drilling required.

Volquartsen Comp: Held in place by orignal front sight screw and some type of seal inside the comp. It is a solid mod, not a set screw type wobbler.

Hogue slipover grip:

Old Tasco PPD2 with a silver sun shade and filter.

Is that what rapid-fire at steel is supposed to sound like? When I do it, it sounds like; BANG BANG BANG ding BANG BANG #@$% ding. ;)

Well.... it depends on how your 15-22 is feeling that day. Some will go... ding...ding... click (mag snag) ding... ding... BOOM (OOB)... much cursring.... two weeks latter... ding... ding...
