Unforgiven-Little Bill Daggett: "Look son, being a good shot, being quick with a pistol, that don't do no harm, but it don't mean much next to being cool-headed. A man who will keep his head and not get rattled under fire, like as not, he'll kill ya. It ain't so easy to shoot a man anyhow, especially if the s.o.b. is shootin' back at you."

and

Unforgiven-Will Munny: "All right, I'm coming out. Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sum****** takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down"

'Quigley Down Under' has many great lines.

My favorite is towards the end when Tom Selleck's character, Quigley, is caught and dragged, is near death and the MEC(main evil character) wants to face him in a gunfight.

He, the MEC, remembering that Quigley doesn't use a revolver and thinking that will give him an edge takes Quigley's Sharps away.

Quigley has to face him and two others with a sixshooter stuck in his belt.

Quigley shoots all three and as the MEC is dying with a puzzled look on his face Quigley says "...said I didn't have much use for one...didn't say I didn't know how to use it."

Good thread, Preston

"Anyone who hates children and animals can't be all bad."

"I'm free of all prejudices. I hate everyone equally."

"Some weasel took the cork out of my lunch!"

W.C. Fields :D

"Yo Homie, that my briefcase?"

The Outlaw Josey Wales has a bunch of them. One I like is Granny at the old store when she says "all that big talk don't mean doodlie squat".

"Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine". Bogie in Casablanca. Greatest movie of all time.

"... you take the blonde, I'll take the one in the turban"

...well the said it was eye-gore. Well they were wrong then weren't they?

From young Frankenstein. I love that movie. All of it.

Two that are very appropriate for these days and times:

"What we have here,is a failure to communicate."

"We must endeavor to persevere."

f.t.

The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Clint Eastwood - Are you gonna pull them pistols or just whistle Dixie?

Lone Waddie - I've noticed when you get to dislikin' people they aint around for long either.

Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life son.

Chief Dan George had all the best lines in The Outlaw Josey Wales.

"We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union. "

Unforgiven has some classics, too.

Little Bill: "You sir are a cowardly SOB. You just shot an unarmed man."
William Munny: "He should've armed himself before he went and decorated his saloon with my friend."
