Howdy people, well I've gone and done it again, i just can't stop buying stuff for this little guy.

I had a NcStar ultimate sighting system on my MOE, and I love it, its great does a good job, stays very very close to Zero no matter how many times i move it. Well I kinda wanted some more choices when it comes to sights, so I purchased a Primary arms M3 w/ the Cantilever mount, so I decided to change my optics approach. For the people that have them, is this new sight worth the money...? are there any issues that you might have with it..? Pros/Cons..?

Thanks Guys...

Nothing wrong with Primary Arms optics....best value for dollar if you ask me....I have the M4 clone on my .556 and after 1,000+ rounds it has never budged from zero..."out of the box". Whatever I put that red dot on...is toast. Marsh is a great dealer and a fast shipper. And.. no I don't work for any weapons retailers...or add-on manufacturers. Enjoy the M-3 clone.

Thanks for the post Tom, I've seen the youtube vids, etc and just looking at some of those vid, made my mind up, especially after all of there raving reviews, such as yours.

THUMBS UP on PA clones! PA service is A#1. I've had a M3 clone on my 15-22 MOE for over a year. Great red dot for the price.....my six year old grandson can hold a 2-3" group off the bench at 25 yard using the PA M3 .

A must have for the zombie snap shots

Aim small,

tat

I agree! I have their micro red dot on my AR and its been a wonderful optic.

I spoke with a gentleman named Scott there yesterday...very helpful and polite...should have my new vortex sparc today! I would buy from them again from them and prob will :D

I'm done with crossing my fingers on China optics. I know the PA stuff gets some good reviews and they seem to have a decent QA standard for the China factory to pass. But I know have zero out of about a dozen China optics that still work since the Bushnell decided to die just days ago. New battery did nothing. It just sat in the safe, got pulled out thinking about taking it this last weekend and it was a no go. I always say the same thing to this question. Save up and buy an Eotech 512 or Aimpoint C3. Either one is worth the wait to save up for it. I went with the 512 and don't regret it one bit. But I have bad luck with the China glass while many will say it works fine. I wish I had the money back from all of them and I would just buy an Aimpoint M4 for close to the same amount. Wasted.

That does look good. I like everything I'm reading about it.

I'm picking one up in November for my 5.56, I'll post a review here when I get it. In addition to the Aimpoint battery life and reputation, the 2 MOA dot has me very interested.

Hey guys, I'm new to the S&W forum. I just bought a Primary Arms M4 red dot sight for my 15-22, and I had a few questions. First, will it fit on the 15-22 and second, did I make a good purchase? I read good things about the M4 red dot, but maybe someone could give me some more info about it. Thanks!

+1 Primary Arms.

I have two PA MicroDot and a PA compact 4x. Tons of positive reviews from guys using them on centerfire rifles so I figured they should hold up well on recreational .22 guns. I have been very pleased with these optics over the past year or so and tens of thousands of rounds.

'ems sum purdy toys you got there Phil...

What do you guys think of this Barska scope(I know someone will say "u mean barfska"). I'm trying to decide between this Barska and the NCStar rubber coated compact tactical.

Amazon.com: BARSKA 3-9x40 Compact Contour IR 4A Mil Plex Rifle Scope: Sports & Outdoors

I don't think there's a dime worth of difference between them other than the label.

Beware... 3-9x "compact" scopes can be disappointing. For inexpensive "compact" scopes, I think the better choice is fixed magnification... something like 4x. If you really want a 3-9x scope I would get a conventional scope rather than "compact". That said, a lot of folks seem to be pleased with the NcStar MarkIII 3-9x scopes but they are a bit more expensive than what you're looking at.

What should I beware of? Any reason specifically? I asked some guys at my local shops (one of them being Turner's Outdoorsman) if they was a difference between compact and full size on the same magnification (3-9x), they said none.

Cheap variable magnification 'compact' scopes tend to have significant blur around the perimeter increasing with magnification. I'm sure there is some technical reason... maybe someone will come along and explain it. Take a look at the reviews in the link you provided. You'll see words like "fuzzy" and "blury".

Sure thing, thanks Phil.

Heck yea Phil Nice to see that micro-dot is standing up to your expectations, i'm thinking about getting one of those next possibly

well had a little range time today shot about 150 round down range took about 10 mins to site in, but after that all i gotta say is "WOW" this thing performs flawlessly i've always used open sights, and scopes for shooting this is my 1st red-dot and all i gotta say is RAPE, man that target didn't stand a chance, i would post pics later hoperfully, the only thing that sucked about it was the customer service though, i ordered the wrong mount on line, and sent a reponse that i ordered the wrong with the order #, still rec'vd the wrong mount, received a high mount, when i wanted the cantilever high mount, but its my bad i guess, just made me mad that i didn't even get a resonse back from them, but o well, i will read things better next time

Here is what i got: Primary Arms Multi-Reticle Red Dot Sight
