You are held up at gun point and you realized you forgot your concealed weapon. The robber wants to take you to a second location so what would you do? What the self defense experts say about this tomorrow.

Never go to a second location. It is better to be shot where you are than go somewhere else...

The gunman would slip and fall in the urine and diarrhea, hitting his head and knocking himself unconscious, whereupon I would take his gun, and call 911...and then, while awaiting for the police to arrive, I would attempt to prevent him from going into a coma by repeated kicks to his groin (that is the correct method, right?)

On a serious note, I agree...do whatever you can and have to do to avoid being taken anywhere by a bad guy.

I going to say the answer early.

I'd call 911 and report that a robber committed suicide, well after picking the wrong house to rob.

The general consensus from the Martial Arts community is NEVER comply.
Whatever they are going do do make them do it now, on your terms.
(You or I may be armed but is your friend,sister,co-worker etc?)

I would spit in the bad guy's eyes as hard as i could and then run away in my wheelchair as fast as possible.

Chicago PD has been one of the major contributors of lousy self defense advice.
such as ask the rapist to wear a condom .....
I'd like to see where he got his numbers ... 4% on a retreating target cant be right.
any one of us in this forum can nail a tossed softball at these ranges at least 60% of the time.
thats a lethal hit ... I'll be taking his genitalia off by way of his trachea

Ever pick up a frog? They pee. A scared timid dog? Pee. If a guy pulls a gun on me, even if I have my CC, I bet I pee!

No matter what, at that instant, my entire life will change. And I hate change! It took me years to go from tidy whities to colored under-britches, I hate change that much.

Maybe if I'm lucky the BG will look at my soaked pants and laugh, with any luck he'll laugh so hard he bends over and holds his gun out to the side and I can knee him in the head...

I just got my black belt 4 years ago, and I remember the Golden Rule: RUN!

I must believe, pulling a gun as a BG is one thing to intimidate someone, but to escalate it to shooting them in a public place is a big leap, and one not every BG will take.

This topic came up here not too long ago. I clicked this one thinking maybe I would see something new.

I believe in the earlier thread a law enforcement guru of some sort came along with some pretty convincing numbers that when a punk proposes to take you elsewhere he generally plans to kill you. Since his advice and numbers agreed with my thinking, I liked his answer. :)

I believe Xfuzz has the "winnah."

The wisdom is flowing forth.
If the bad guy wants to take you elsewhere, he is going to kill you. The fight, as they say, is on. You are fighting for your life.

One of my instructors at the Police Academy gave this scenerio: "You're checking store doorknobs behind the strip mall at 2 in the morning. Your baton is in the car. You feel a gun barrel in the back of your neck, your gun is taken from you and a voice says, 'Bend over the car, Pig. I'm going to (rape) you.' What is your response?"

Well that would depend on the kind of aftershave he's wearing!

Running away is certainly better than complying. Your assailant will probably shoot out of rage if nothing else. You can expect multiple rounds to be fired very quickly. Your assailant might even chase you and many of them are excellent sprinters. So your odds of getting away unscathed are not that great. If you're going to fight your assailant you must be mentally prepared to disarm him and kill him with his own gun. Will you know how to use his gun? Maybe your assailant is stupid and is carrying the gun with an empty chamber and the safety on. Maybe it's not even a real gun. Or he has no idea how to use it. Maybe he will run at the first sign of your willingness to resist. If you get shot, will you give up mentally and just die?

I have seen all of these scenarios play out on the street with all kinds of results. I have seen a guy who sat and complied and then took the bullets to the head, and he had to know what was coming. And I have seen an unarmed store owner who was shot after complying, then fought his assailant and killed him with his own gun. Anything can happen, but you need to do something unexpected to take control of the situation.

Remember the book and movie "The onion field" by joesph wambaugh? It was a true event with two los angeles detectives. One BG got the drop on one detective and ordered his partner to disarm. They drove them to a onion field near bakersfield, killed one and the other ran off in the dark.
My chief was retired from Chicago PD before I knew him. He was a athelete, once reportedly champion boxer of the pacific fleet durring world war two. One night he gave me a lesson on how to disarm someone if they had a gun on you and were close. At first I was skeptical, but it worked! Just depended on who moved first. You clap your hands together a little offset. One hand pushs the gun barrel to one side and you end up with the gun with usualy your left hand. The BG cant keep the gun without breaking his finger in the trigger guard. Go`s without saying to triplecheck your partners gun before you try this stunt!
Even if the BG has a cocked revolver, almost everytime we tried this, your partners gun`s hammer did not fall!
I am/was a huge but slow guy but shortly he had me disarming him and another partner close to 100% of the time even us knowing what we were going to try! Especialy since that lesson over 30 years ago I never would get in reach of someone putting a gun on them. As a last resort, I belive I would have a good chance surviveing the situation were a BG be dumb enough to get in arms reach of me and hold a gun on me. I do think I would come out better than he, but I am not going to try it unless I have to!
