I don't want to shock Ol' James up there, but I could have done the same thing as the wacko did with a 10-22. Or a 12 ga. See? The "Assault Weapon" is the exact same action as the 10-22. I timed myself today, while out shooting with my grandson, and with my 10-22 and six magazines, I was able to hit a pie plate at 40' with all 60 rounds in under a minute. That was 6 magazine changes.

So what now?

Exactly! My Marlin 60 .22 shoots as fast as I can pull the trigger......same as my AR. Both are .22 caliber rifles. They just look different and use different size cartridge casings. I consider the AR a sport rifle that I can rearrange handles, sights, lights and any other 'furniture' depending on what I want to do with it. I can even change the bolt and magazine out and fire the smaller .22lr cartridge thru the same barrel. By the way folks, my AR is a S&W M&P15. ASSAULT? I suppose either gun could be used to assault! But so could my dirt shovel if I hit my neighbor over the head with it!

It is a Henry Big Boy and one of the one off state issued additions they made 3 per state one in .22 cal, .45 colt and 38 special magnum which is what I have. No troll, it is a Winchester based rifle but it is actually a Henry Big Boy. See what fanatical horse **** this has stirred up, I do not understand nor comprehend it?

All I know is if this wack o had not had access to his AR/ AK then he would not have been able to kill 26 people in the manner of a few minutes. I do not understand the fascination with them and you are right I have not shot one nor do I want to shoot one but I have shot rare and classic shotguns worth about 20-30 times the value of an idiotic assault weapon. My dad shot one in the military and I am sure you all have FEAR or else you would not be holding onto your own interpretation of the 1776 constitution. I am a gun owner and proud of it but you could post pics of Ted Nugget killing boars and deers all day long with his and I would still not understand its purpose other than what it was designed to do.

I really would not support a ban but if they Class III then then that could be an option but IMO the ban legislation is all but a done deal. Cope and try to make it through it peacefully.

1. It's not our "OWN" interpretation of anything. It takes all of about 10 minutes in Google to find the same identical interpretation of the reason for the 2nd Amendment. Try reading, it's fundamental.

2. We all have fear.....that's really a logical conclusion and certainly relevant to the posted replies to your "logic." I do find it funny you'd say that though, considering you are the one coming across as soft and afraid.

3. I agree with what someone else said, maybe you are on the wrong forum, the Brady Campaign has there own. You'll be a hero over there for "having seen the light."

I get it though, those of us who are current or EX military, LEO who are the scared ones, the ones who don't get it. The ones who made a decision to lay their life down for others if needed. It's us who do not get the Constitution, even though we are the ones who swore oaths to protect it. It's you, the appeaser, who is the Patriot and "gets" it. Someone I betting would pee their pants at the first shot.

Seems to me had the shooter used the Glock and Sig he could have wrought as much or more destruction. The term "assault rifle" connotes more power but actually any big-bore handgun with a large magazine can be just as lethal.

The reason for the 2nd Amendment was to have an armed populace as a preventative measure against the Government becoming repressive and tyrannical.

That can't be done with a single shot .22

this is just wrong, maybe you need to look around your surroundings and figure out that the middle red states do not support the east and west coast blue states. I am still just wanting to know the main desire and fascination with them, why do you own one? answer the question, move on and I will not post into this thread any longer.

Better go look again. There is no .38 Special Magnum. Your a
hard learner. It could have been done with ANY semi automatic firearm.

BTW, I own shotguns that cost more than some people's homes. As long as they don't effect them, your ok with more restrictions? Kind of, it dosen't effect me, so why should I care?

And, it's not an AR/AK. It was a Bushmaster AR-15. Have one of those, too. Mine hasn't bothered any one yet, but I pet it regularly. I used an M-16 in the service. (mine was a CAR). My dad used an M1. (WWII) My grandfather, an 03A3. (WWI) I have a pair of Great Great Great Great Grandfathers (one on each side of the Civil War) they used period arms. (I still have
ones 12mm pin fire pistol) I'm assuming by your post that you did not serve. Which is OK. Maybe if you had, you'd have a better understanding of why some of us take this freedom and liberty thing seriously.
