NRA membership?

I wonder how much the NRA membership has increased since I are one..

I'm thinking of letting my membership lapse. Can't justify Wayne LaPierre being paid $1.5 million a year. For what? He's the face of the NRA and not a very effective spokesman. Surely, the money could be spent much better on a public relations/ad campaign to persuade people that self-defense is one of the pillars of American freedom.

I considered this also; however, I don't see a "Plan B" in the future. What I do see, and I believe it will be this year, is a change of leadership in the NRA and, with it, better PR.

I thought Chuck Heston (RIP) was a fine rep for the NRA. LaPierre comes across as way too didactic.

I have heard plenty of reasons not to like the NRA, but in my opinion, they are the best we have to defend our rights.
I just sent in my dues, plus extra.

Well I don't know what didactic is but I realize Wayne may not be the best public speaker. I DO KNOW that the NRA is the best thing we have going to retain our gun rights.

How much do you think the head of the largest and most effective lobbying organization in history should be paid? He has been placed in impossible circumstances in the last few weeks. I agree, it might be time for a change, but your reasoning just doesn't make sense.

I agree being a member of the NRA is important. But dont forget to write ( e mail ) your congressmen, senitors, and the president. This could be as equally important to saving our second amendment rites.
