If you are an NRA member, please show the NRA icon!

See the pics below.

To select the icons:
See pics at bottom if needed.
You must be logged in.
Click on your User Name at top right (first pic)
Then look down the list to "NRA Membership" and click that tiny yellow tab (second pic)
Click the appropriate level and click "Save Changes" (third pic)

While you're there, select other icons that apply to you like Vets and First Responders.
Please do not select SWCA and SWHF icons if you are NOT a registered member.

If you are not an NRA member, please consider joining.

We NEED for you to be COUNTED with us!

\/ Click and Join NOW for $25 \/
You also get a Free HAT

There are 85-100 million gun owners in the US, and only 4.3 million NRA members.
"They" are going to say that MOST gunowners do NOT care if more serious restrictions are put on guns!

If you are not counted WITH us, "they" are going to count YOU as being against us.

We are in the toughest fight of all time to protect the 2nd. They are coming after ALL guns eventually, so don't think for a minute that you are OK because you don't like black rifles or 30 rd mags. If ALL of the ARs and AKs and 30re mags disappeared tomorrow, "they" would start on the next level.
Your deer rifle would be labeled a "deadly, high-powered sniper rifle".
Your bird gun will become a "deadly 'automatic' shotgun that can be sawed off in 5 minutes and spray hundreds of horrific buck shot".
'"They" will want revolvers because a sack of speedloaders could make them WMDs.

Let people who haven't joined yet know that one of the benefits the NRA offers to their members is a free $2,500 firearm insurance. It covers theft, accidental loss, and damage. All you have to do is make sure to fill out the form they send and opt in. That alone is worth the $25 a year. Benefits of Membership

I'm so glad to see this thread. I can't believe the number of posters here that don't have an NRA symbol next to their name. I'm actually beginning to resent it. It's so simple to join and we absolutely have to get those numbers up. You don't have to join for life. You don't have to sign up for three years. Just sign up for one year. Send them twenty five bucks, thirty five bucks, whatever it costs to join at the moment and you're done. You can even opt out of the mailing list. No more procrastination and no more silly excuses. Please, just sign up.

Lee, if I could make a suggestion. when I logged on after work tonight, there were 60 guys in the 2nd amendment forum, 300 guys in the lounge and 1500 in the semi-auto section. Maybe if you tossed a similar thread in there, and maybe every other section too, it might get some folks who might otherwise not see it.

They've been trying that since 1968 GCA, especially any deer rifle with a scope and to a lesser degrees, shotguns and pistols. But they really did almost get scoped deer rifles included. You can bet they'll try for them again this time along with all semi-automatic rifles and pistols.

GET in the Fight!

There is a big button at top left that will take you to the NRA website.
You can join for $25.
You can do any upgrades to your membership by clicking that ad.
We NEED for you to be COUNTED with us!

What Lee said!!!!!!! I just did a $250 upgrade to Endowment, a $25 contribution to the Safe Schools program the're starting and a $25 membership for my wife. If you can't do the $250 upgrade or $300 life, you can add to your current membership at a rate of $25 - 1yr, $50 - 2yr, $70 -3yr and $100 - 5yr. I believe a five year membership still entitles you to vote in the NRA elections. Heck, if there is someone on here who can't even afford the $25, I'll sponsor and pay for one person if others who can afford it will do so also. I'll do it as a one year gift membership for the first person who can't afford it and PMs me. Lee, John, others, who's in?

I'm NOT asking anyone not to contribute, but use that money to sign up other members. I know the NRA can use the money donations, but I think right now the number of members are needed to grow quickly.

I have been a Life member since 1969 as my signature shows, if you are a gun owner or expect to be you should also be an NRA member.

That was easy! Thanks for the "posting icons for dummies" lesson Lee. I've been a member since '83. I just signed my son up for 2 years for his birthday.
I can't recall when so little meant so much!

Peculiar. I did as the instructions said, and got a message that I had entered "wrong birthday" or "illegal birthday" or something like that. I hadn't even listed my birthday. What the heck, put down my birthday. Now it let me change my profile. But then it told me I had subscribed to two threads. I unsubscribed to them, but why da heck did that happen?
