Two Explosin's At Boston Marthon

I feel bad for the 8yr old boy who died he was innocent but you know what, those liberals (Mass is full liberal) want to play games with terrorists and criminals, they are against the death penalty, cry about how murderers/terrorists are treated in gitmo, wanting the gov't to control everything, and want to disarm honest citizens.
Well liberals what you had is a result of what you want and you deal with it. Maybe you can talk, reason, and negotiate with killers.
You wouldve thought the east coast liberals wouldve gotten smart after 911, how the gov't handled hurricane sandy (hey hows that going?). I'll just sit back and watch.

How do you feel about the government using drones against US citizens, the destruction of the Bill of Rights (not just the 2nd amendment), the rise of the police state and the end of personal freedom?

You cannot have a robust War on Terror and still have the tradition of freedom that we enjoy in this country. The two are not compatible. The Left was politically motivated when attacking Bush for destroying this country from within after September 11th, and the Right defended him, not envisioning what was coming. Now that Obama is controlling the show, the Left defends him as the second Messiah, and the Right is howling about the Bill of Rights and NDAA, etc.

What the hell people? Left and Right has nothing to do with this issue, this is Liberty vs Facism. There are no more political parties, there is only the Citizen vs the State.

What's "in no time"? Took them two week to claim 911. Maybe, maybe not.

Apparently homegrown terrorists are too stupid to make a pressure cooker bomb with readily available materials like ball bearings and nails according to Mass. Rep Steve Lynch:

Boston Marathon bombs contained ball bearings

Missile-firing drones or just surveillance drones? I don't like the idea of armed drones but camera drones don't really bother me from a privacy or 4th amendment standpoint. The idea of unmanned planes is a little worrisome from a safety standpoint though. What's the difference between drones "looking" at something vs. a pilot in a helicopter from a 4th amendment perspective?

Could be. He's a "lawmaker" so he has vast intuitive powers beyond the comprehension of the rest of us. Second only to actors and sports figures.

When the second plane hit I knew it wasn't a homegrown terrorist. I considered it an act of war long before we knew who it was. Honestly, I never heard of half of the terrorist groups and for sure didn't know their names.

This time it could have been anyone. We'll just have to wait and hope the good guys figure it out.

I hope they can't associate this with us (gun owners) but as you can see they're gonna try to.

I'm leaning toward home-grown on this one so far but not making any bets yet.

really it don't matter much either way.
When ya race to the bottom line, its a high profile case and a knife in the kidney of a fine American tradition.
as these things have gone in the past decades, something changes for us all through "new and improved" legislation and the formation of new departments and agencies.
DHS, TSA, GCA68, NY mag ban, CT AWB are all the prices we've collectively paid for the acts of a few.
our wallets are running dry ... whats next?

... whats next?

More of the same, using crime to justify insane budgets and increasing bureaucracy, legislation, university funding and government jobs. Trying to reach the point where more people work for the government than the private sector.....

We all do work for the gov now...It's called TAXES.....

Tax free this year is not supposed to be until 5 days later than last year!!!!!!

I figure it's this way...Either people get a pay check from the Feds, or get a hand out from the Feds. That's pretty close to being 100% dependent.:(

It's another sad day for America.
Sounds like black powder, watch out they don't start limiting powder for reloading.
Sorry to say that but I just can't help feeling there is an agenda attached to every tragedy.

its hard not to when nearly every tragedy has already furthered an agenda

On a serious note, I have a strong feeling that many of the 4th of July celebrations this summer are liable to be curtailed.

I really have never liked to go places where there are thousands of people crowded together. This event has done nothing to ease my unease. This is terrible but I fear that most of the big sports like the Super Bowl and the like, are just going to be prime targets. Security for things such as this is next to impossible.
Prayers for the families of the victims and the victims themselves.
Peace,
Gordon
