I thought that as a U.S. territory, ya'll were U.S. citizens and the constitution applied equally to P.R. Is this not so?
That's because they don't WANT them. Why? Because they and the Dems tried pushing for that back in the late '80s or early '90s: they because they want to have a say in their governance, Dems because they know that NAMs (non-Asian minorities), are, in general, addicted to gov't benefits and thus enslaved to Dem socialism.I think it would only be binding to the states. I dont think P.R. even has representatives in our government do they?
I would much rather see the citizens of PR have the right than "resident aliens" with a green card have it. I anyone wants to become a naturalized citizen, more power to them and welcome to the USA.
The nut case at Virgina Tech a few years ago was a "resident alien" and able to purchase a firearm. Our rights should be for our LEAGAL citizens.
