Did you know the 2nd Amendment for the people of Puerto Rico is not a "RIGHT"...

In Puerto Rico this constitutional right (the 2nd.) is a privilege!

And it is a privilege handled by the Police, by the way...

I would much rather see the citizens of PR have the right than "resident aliens" with a green card have it. I anyone wants to become a naturalized citizen, more power to them and welcome to the USA.
The nut case at Virgina Tech a few years ago was a "resident alien" and able to purchase a firearm. Our rights should be for our LEAGAL citizens.

I think it would only be binding to the states. I dont think P.R. even has representatives in our government do they?

That's because they don't WANT them. Why? Because they and the Dems tried pushing for that back in the late '80s or early '90s: they because they want to have a say in their governance, Dems because they know that NAMs (non-Asian minorities), are, in general, addicted to gov't benefits and thus enslaved to Dem socialism.

Well, when PRians found out that if they had representatives, they' have to pay fed taxes (as it is they get fed tax $$$ benefits w/o paying fed taxes), they dropped that idea fast and haven't seriously pushed for it since then. Representation without taxation isn't allowed for states. IMO, it should NOT be allowed for individuals either (i.e., if you don't pay any taxes (or you get more in tax benefits than you pay in taxes), you lose your right to vote).

So, Dems changed their play book and pushed for massive NAM immigration (legal and illegal), to get more reliable (enslaved) voters than the Repubs had principled voters....

Whenever I came to the U.S with my F-1 visa as a student I was automatically registered in the selective service database. In case the U.S would become attacked I could have been drawn into the armed forces to serve or become part of a militia.

To ensure that non immigrants could defend the U.S they have to be allowed to buy firearms.

The supreme court decided that everybody legally in the U.S has constitutional rights, even illegals to some extend.

While he was 'only' a resident alien, he had passed way more stringent background checks that you will ever encounter trying to buy a firearm from your LGS.

Background checks are no guarantee for nothing, as the name says they just look into your past. If there are no anomalies you get cleared, even if you are a disturbed individual and just managed to fly under the radar
