ACP or AutoRim?

I have 150 new 45AR cases I have had for probably 5 years, and I have never loaded any of them. I shoot lots of 45acp through mine however.

That BMT tool is nice. I will probably get one or two on order before it warms up in the Spring. I have a 610 also.

I have a webley that can use 45acp or autorim. I currently use moon clips with no problems. Clips are quick to load and unload after firing but can be a bear when it comes time to remove the spent cases from the clip. Take the extra five bucks and buy the tool to do it.

ACP for me in Rimz clips as that's what I have on hand. I plan on using AR for loads I don't want getting into an auto.

I used both. For competition moonclips are generally a must. For plinking and general paper punching AR is less fuss, just load and shoot. You don't have to mess around with unloading and loading clips. Both should be able to use the same load data.

I use both, and bought the 625 so I could use the Moon Clips. However I find myself gradually using the AR most of the time. I'm a Bullseye shooter, thus going for accuracy....and for some unknown reason (I suspect some crossed wires in the brain housing group), I slow down and shoot better with the individual, Auto-Rim rounds. Don't ask me why, but the little voices in my head are in agreement. Get/use both.

I only use the ACP brass and the clips. Nothing against the AR cases just never got any and I like picking up my brass all in one grab. Plus no speed loaders. Its all good with model 25s. My favorite revolvers.

I keep thinking of machining a tool to go in arbor press or even better an old reloading press to empty cases from the clips

I fail to understand the "Hassle" of loading and clearing full moon clips, it is not much different than loading a magazine...it is SO easy and effortless. Anyway, I use .45 ACP for a majority of my shooting in my 25-2....I do have 500 AR casings that don't get used much.......Randy

Well maybe not loading but ceratinly unloading. W/O a tool, unloading moon clips is drudgery.

So many inexpensive and sometimes home made tools it is a non issue. I have the tool that is like a reverse set of pliers....does a GREAT job! Mine came with the gun.
