McDonald's in Waikiki serves SPAM as part of their "Local Deluxe Breakfast".

My local MD's is off limits to me forever. The last time I was there, the rap music was vibrating the windows, and the "staff" all looked like something just off the crack selling street corner. Nasty store, very nasty employees.

Trivia...Don't eat at a Micky D's on a Sunday...

WHY?...

I'm glad you asked that.

The last fresh bread that was delivered was on Friday, and even then, I wouldn't take bets on, it was fresh on Friday.

Fresh won't come til sometime Monday....Maybe....

Search McDonald's menus and you'll see what's offered and where.

I heard of Das Nurnburger but never had one. Nurnberg is very protective of the Nurnberg Brat recipe and would not give it to McD's or let them use it in any way. So I assume McD's keeps the local sausage maker quite busy.

Win Win

BTW, Nurnberg Brats are the best, They have every right to be proud.

I moved to TX four years ago from NC, my wife still does not believe me that there is country ham and "city ham".

I won't even say how much I miss Cheerwine, livermuch, Cookout, Hardees and Bojangles :(

Take her to Cracker Barrel they ask if you want country or sugar cured.

On average, each person on Hawaii consumes 16 tins of Spam each year. Others with same consumption are Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) (including Saipan, the CNMI's principal island). These areas have the only McDonald's restaurants that feature Spam on the menu.

Last time I went to a MD, myself and several other customers stood there waiting to be waited on while 10 cars went through the drive through. Needless to say we all left. No food is worth being ignored over when there are plenty or restaurants around that charge the same price for a sit down meal you get at MD. I guess you pay for speed, if you can get waited on.

I probably eat close to sixteen tins of Spam a year myself. Maybe not quite, but I love the stuff fried brown and crisp at the edges.

On the other hand, in Korea they fry it with kimchi. I love kimchi too, but that is just wrong.

As for McDonald's, about half a dozen times a year I have to have a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder. Or two. I always feel I should go to confession afterward, and I'm not Catholic. :D

I think their fries suck.

I never go to Micky D's we don't have any fast food joints in our town, there is one in the next town over, last year we were in Va and my wife went into one and got me some kind of coffee drink it was crushed ice and coffee with cream on top, I don't know what it is called but it was good.

When I am often roaming around the Southwest, I often stop at Micky D's.
Their regular coffee- $1 - is often the very best coffee in a lot of these small towns.
And I go mens room, check my Email.
Except last weekend when I couldn't get online.

I like their senior coffee. Our old Golden is pretty weak and the only thing she will eat are McDonalds burgers, so I get her some every day. I went at 5 last night and had to park and wait for burgers. What is this about?

Tried the Mclobster while in a port in Maine. That was pretty different.

I remember at some point they served some not so great pizza but I forget where I was.

Here in Jax, FL they are currently trying to push chicken wings but I'm not sure if that is local, regional, or everyone.

I would like to try a Mac lobster. We had the chicken wings around here for a while, not sure you can still get them or not.
The pizza thing came and went like Frost in the morning sun.

I bet lobster didn't go over too big in Me, I know it wouldn't go over at all here, we can get fresh lobster any time we want. I do like the Mc Rib but we haven't had it here in years, today for lunch I went out for a Reuben and a few cold ones, coming home I went by a Mc Donald's so I stopped in to see if they had that coffee drink, it's called a coffee moca frappe, I was drinking it on the way home it was so cold, I got brain freeze, I had to pull over take my glasses off and hold my nose, it hurt so bad, I didn't think I had that much brain left to freeze, I think I will go back tomorrow for another one, only I will drink it slower.:D

The quickest help in a brain freeze situation is to take your tongue and press it to the roof of your mouth. Been there done it and it works!

I've attempted to sample Micky Ds in Europe, Japan and other places and the taste varies considerably. Don't expect a Big Mac in Belgium to taste like one over here. It won't.

I know what you mean, we tried a Mickey Ds in Paris and Pizza Hut in Bavaria. Any similarity to what we eat here is purely coincidental.

SaltyRI, the bottom of your tongue. The top of it is cold, from the ice cream or whatever. The bottom of it is 99 degrees.

If you can't roll your tongue back to get the bottom up, press your thumb to the roof of your mouth. It's not as hot, but it's hotter than the frozen top of your tongue.

I passed through BWI airport yesterday just after 5PM. The food court (A&B terminals) had a selection of places, like McDs, Arby's, a Chinese place, Quiznos, Chipotle and some others. Almost all of them you could walk right up and order, but Chipotle had a hell of a line.
