CCW: Keep one in the pipe?

Fact is you have free travel then pull the trigger with 3.5 to 5.5 force and it goes bang just like a 1911
We are talking about ND when holstering unholstering etc

Why is your finger on the trigger at either time?

Like a fool I looked in on this thread again. My mistake. It's still pointless, personal and irritating.

For John Moses Browning's sake, guys, carry however you like. Please. You aren't going to sway your adversaries here.

I'll now go pray for relief from the morbid curiosity that made me check it one more time.
I just made the same mistake.

Is this post really a true and accurate representation of your intellect and your regard for others? I doubt it.

Actually, if you must know, I was deliberately trying to get this thread locked.

I've given up on any semblance of intelligent life in the C3 community. There is nothing I could say here that would change the minds of the blowhard condition click fanatics. Saying, "Carrying an empty chamber puts you at greater risk for disarm and execution with your own weapon," is tantamount to telling a Muslim that Muhammad is a false prophet.

I think we should come up with subtle signal that you're carrying in condition click so that I can stay away from you fearful gun handling and not count on you to ever save the day. How about dunce caps with "Free Gun" embroidered vertically? Thugs couldn't read it and the intelligencia could be fairly warned about your presence. We could safely avoid you in case something bad happened and you were forced to bobble your terrifying gun out of hiding and into action.

It's great that you're championing your opinion so well. It really is difficult to make ignorance appear to be enlightment. No amount of prestadigitation or alchemy is going to turn this türd of an idea into a good one.

I am tired of this ignorant thread being at the top of the list. So let's have it locked by the mods and then it can settle at the bottom...with the rest of the trash.

Added some time later:
OK I find it hilarious to stir this particular pot. Am I being repugnant? Yes. Does how someone else carries their weapon directly affect me? No. How can you resist this debate? It's two groups firmly entrenched on either side of an issue pommeling away at each other. I do enjoy how the 1's are trying to emmasculate the 3's. The 3's plead for tolerance. It's a whizzing contest at best, but comical nonetheless. Sumner v. Brooks.

U mad bro?

This is the first gun forum I have ever joined, so I was unaware of this controversy until I read this thread. I guess I am confused about why people care so much about what condition other people use when they carry.

Whether someone carries in condition 1 or condition 3 poses no threat to my personal security or that of my loved ones. So, I don't really care how other people carry. The anger and frustration on this thread is sort of funny. And sort of sad. The internet... am I right?

....or you could simply stop reading and commenting on it!?!?!

You do realize that every time you post a comment you move the thread BACK to the top?

I always carry with one in the chamber. I may not want to make any noise racking one in the tube. Also, I may need that extra round that some people left home because they didn't carry one in the tube. I always carried a shotgun without one in the chamber for the effect of racking one in the tube. Gets their attention.

Just as this thread was finally somewhat buried, you just had to revive it!
You're a sick man

At close quarters, you probable will not have time to rack the slide with2 hands or a 1 handed down the jeans or on the shoe or wherever. The time spent doing that if you could do it, might bring an attack in physical contact. At that point you now have to worry, if you have a semi.., that pushing the gun into the attacker will push the slide back, even as little as 1/8 inch, and the gun now out of battery and will not fire.
Please practice 'til you are comfortable and confident in your fire arm. Put one in the pipe, please.

I posted a couple weeks ago that carrying with one in the pipe with no manual safety or at least a true double action is an accident waiting to happen. Large frame Smith and Wesson's M&P optional manual saftey is obtrusive and just plain ugly.

The top pictured gun is for home defense only, and the bottom gun is going to be my future carry weapon that has a 12+1 capacity, true DA and unobtrusive manual safety. I won't have any concerns carrying it with one in the chamber. Oh, I just got it yesterday.

You do understand that their are minimal, if any, internal differences in those pistols, don't you?
