I don't.![]()
Oh, oh! I DO!Yes, I understand. Do you understand my reasoning?
Oh, oh! I DO!
You are admitting that you are too incompetent to safely handle a firearm with a live round in the chamber!
Did I get it right?
Can't see any other reason why one would so adamantly advocate carrying in C3 and go as far as to declare carrying a pistol in C1 an "accident waiting to happen".
I'm sure it's better than your ability to handle a condition one striker fired pistol.I guess your reading comprehension is on the low side.
One of my CCW shooting buddies (mag-fed-semi-auto) tells me he doesn't carry a round in the chamber. He uses a crotch holster, guess he's nervous he might have a negligent discharge. Ouch!
He says stuff like: "I've been carrying for years, I will always have time to get one in the pipe."
I say: what if you are wounded and can't use two hands? He starts showing me how he can chamber by holding the semi-auto up against his levi's and pushing on the slide.
Anyone else feel like this guy?
When you "carry serious" you carry with ONE IN THE CHAMBER!
Anything else is a punk move!
CHAMBER your weapon like a MAN, and CARRY it like a MAN!
Anything else is some kind of punk-girly move that is fully OUTSIDE the realm of serious consideration!

Would you carry a revolver with the "next up" chamber empty? Just in case you twitched the trigger while drunk and caused the weapon to index? NO YOU WOULD NOT!

Hold up fellas...no need to turn the conversation in that direction. A civil discourse will do fine.

Technically no. By definition, condition 0 is the gun cocked, chamber loaded and no safety on. Since all striker fired guns have a firing pin block, it's impossible for them to be in condition 0 (no safety in place) until the gun is actually being fired.Wouldn't a striker fired pistol (assuming no manual safety) by definition be condition zero ?
Actually, if you must know, I was deliberately trying to get this thread locked.
I've given up on any semblance of intelligent life in the C3 community. There is nothing I could say here that would change the minds of the blowhard condition click fanatics. Saying, "Carrying an empty chamber puts you at greater risk for disarm and execution with your own weapon," is tantamount to telling a Muslim that Muhammad is a false prophet.
I think we should come up with subtle signal that you're carrying in condition click so that I can stay away from you fearful gun handling and not count on you to ever save the day. How about dunce caps with "Free Gun" embroidered vertically? Thugs couldn't read it and the intelligencia could be fairly warned about your presence. We could safely avoid you in case something bad happened and you were forced to bobble your terrifying gun out of hiding and into action.
It's great that you're championing your opinion so well. It really is difficult to make ignorance appear to be enlightment. No amount of prestadigitation or alchemy is going to turn this türd of an idea into a good one.
I am tired of this ignorant thread being at the top of the list. So let's have it locked by the mods and then it can settle at the bottom...with the rest of the trash.
Added some time later:
OK I find it hilarious to stir this particular pot. Am I being repugnant? Yes. Does how someone else carries their weapon directly affect me? No. How can you resist this debate? It's two groups firmly entrenched on either side of an issue pommeling away at each other. I do enjoy how the 1's are trying to emmasculate the 3's. The 3's plead for tolerance. It's a whizzing contest at best, but comical nonetheless. Sumner v. Brooks.
I'll now go pray for relief from the morbid curiosity that made me check it one more time.
Worlds most pointless debate. No ones swaying anyone here. Carry how you feel comfortable doing so. Who cares what the next guy thinks.
Yeah, but what about in bear country?
A round in the chamber or do you rack the slide?
Or would the sound of it racking make the bear poop in the woods?
