Nick, close but no cigar. The Anglin brothers were two of the four cons who escaped and were presumed drowned in SF Bay.

You got me curious so I looked it up.

The "twins" photo is of a couple of brothers from the Transvaal in South Africa whose portrait was part of a fancy photography book by a fella named Ballen.

Looks like 3" or 4" baseboard on the wall in the background so unless some sort of camera trickery is involved I would say that it must be around 3 feet tall.
