Impressions BCS?
DVR'd the first 2 episodes, I haven't viewed it yet, and without giving up too much info, how does it compare to Breaking Bad? One of the best, if not the best made for tv series ever, imo.

Very different show but very good in its own right. The scenery is darker (most of it shot indoors) but the mood is lighter. After two episodes there has been much less violence though there is some. Some familiar faces make appearances. Bob Odenkirk is going to make a name for himself off this like Bryan Cranston did in Breaking Bad.

I never "got"Breaking Bad--so will skip this one. Im staying with The Walking Dead and TURN.

I've seen skits with him on early SNL shows.

The reviews so far are all very positive.

BB started off somewhat tame, but got real intense when Gus showed up.

As you asked, I don't want to give too much away. Right now there is some shady corporate law going on and some sleazy street law. One spoiler, his name is not Saul Goodman.

I'm in! I resisted Breaking Bad for a couple of years because I just have never liked TV series. My grown son kept saying, "Dad, I know you, you will like it". I kept saying, "No I won't, I don't like TV series". I couldn't have been more wrong!

Now that we have "Better Call Saul" I'm a happy camper. I've only watched the Sunday night episode and I liked it very much. A little slow but the writers needed time to set the stage for the "evolution" of Saul and what will follow. There was a big "hook" at the end of this episode. I'll watch the second one tonight. The general look is about the same as BB. And what a pleasure to see some very interesting BB characters show up in BCS. Namely Mike the fixer and the inimitable Tuco Salamanca.

By the way, Saul and two prospective clients met in Loyola's restaurant which is about ten yards from Ron Peterson's, ABQs biggest gun dealer (I think).

I only got interested in BB during it's last season. The whole, it's going away, what's the fuss about thing.
Set up my Netflix to watch the series from day one. It was a bit slow going at first, but man did it ever pick up. What a ride!
I'll start watching tonite.

Sons of Anarchy is next on my list to watch.

Somehow Breaking Bad was off my radar until the 3rd season had started. I heard about it, watched the first season opener and ended up binge-watching the first two seasons in a week. Superb television in every respect. BCS is clearly it's offspring. Camera work is the same out there stuff. Scene breaks are always a surprise. Acting is the same quirky superb caliber. I'm loving it so far.

I saw episode one of Better Call Saul Sunday night, but spaced it off and missed episode two Monday. I see episode two (102) is up on AMC's web site, full content for free streaming. FYI if anyone else missed ep. two.

Watched the second episode tonight. Loved it! Without spoiling, it's the further "evolution" of Saul to the dark side. It's great TV (if there is such a thing). It helps if you are a fan of dark comedy.

It's as good as expected :)

And what about Jimmy's bro?
Too much time in The Lounge staring at a computer monitor?
Why wear a tin foil hat when you can wear an entire cape?

I liked the opening scene with him working the Cinabon in Omaha. A reference to his final scene in BB when he was on the run.

It looks like it could be a good series. He starts out as a moslty honest lawyer who isn't making it, looks like he will get pulled into the crime world.

I liked the line "hiring a lawyer doesn't make you look guilty, it's getting arrested that makes you look guilty"

Resisted BB till I learned AMC was airing the entire series all at once. I DVRd everything but maybe the first couple of episodes. Came in at Elliot's birthday party. Still don't know why Walt and Jesse formed their partnership. As far as BCS I am not going to miss any. They have me. Glad to see more of Mike. Hope to see Badger and Skinny Pete reappear.

Also hooked on Hell on Wheels and Justified. Hate that they are both ending.
