I've been very ambidextrous most of my life. Unfortunately the nerve damage in my left arm seems to be getting worse and I find myself becoming more right handed. I've always thought of you monodextrous people as somewhat awkward and clumsy. I see now that you could not help it and I should not have judged you so harshly.

I've been very ambidextrous most of my life. ...
I thought a person was either ambidextrous or they weren't. I did not know there were degrees of ambidextrousity!

I guess I'm kinda - sorta ambidextrous myself!

This is very true. I eat, write, paint trim work left handed but shoot, throw, bat, kick, paint with a broad brush, and carve right handed. I can't switch any task over to the other hand either except for a chisel which I can use both handed. Strange I guess.

I'm similar. I write and throw left handed, but I swing a bat/golf club right handed. Shoot a rifle and shotgun right handed, but my left eye is my dominant eye, so I shoot a handgun better lefty. I kick left footed. I can use hand tools with either hand and eat with either hand all too well.

I've always carried the label of being "left-handed", because that's how I write, but I like to call myself "quasi-dextrous".

I put up with one of those "Multi"dextrous persons my entire life.

My dad was just totally messed up.

He hammers right handed - saws left. Worked wrenches with his right had primarily but would screw nuts off with his left hand and fingers.

He wrote right handed but painted with his left.

Punted a football right footed, kicked off left footed.

Played golf right handed but batted only left handed.

He used a hoe on the right side but shoveled with his left foot as the digging foot.

He ate with his right hand but cut his meat using the knife in his left.

He shot long guns right handed. I never saw him shoot a pistol.

Very confusing ...

I am a righty all the way ... but I am adopted.

I say somewhat because at one time I could write with either hand, except I write backwards with my left hand. I'd take notes in school with my left hand and they would be reverse image. Which was not a problem as I can read backwards too. I would also write with both hands simultaneously and the lines would be mirror images of each other. However unlike truly talented people I can only write simultaneously in one language. Some people can write different languages simultaneously.

I'm very lefty. If I have to cut a piece of meat I'll swap the fork and knife and use the knife to cut with my left hand and then swap back to use the fork with my left. About the only thing I can do naturally with my right hand is move the computer mouse otherwise it's mainly for holding stuff

I switched my computer mouse to be left handed at work, now I sit and laugh at everyone who tries to use it! Just a little passive aggressive payback for being forced to use right handed stuff all these years!

I was born left handed but it was successfully exorcised.

I can use either hand.

I learned to write lefthanded and was an excellent switch hitter in baseball. Most anything except shooting is done with either hand. Shooting is all right handed.

The exorcist taught me how to shoot. So I had to do as Pa instructed. Despite messing with my wiring he was a good man. I still can close either eye and hear him saying there aren't any good left handed Quarterbacks. Genetics made me a big ole fast linebacker. Boy did I make QB's pay. None ever asked me if I happened to be left handed?

I do some things left handed. Shooting for example. I also play pool left handed. I sometimes have no problem working a knife with my left hand. There's other stuff that cannot come to mind at the moment. The former two I cannot really do right handed though. I do not know why. I cannot control my left eye and close it singularly, like I can with my right. I just end up closing both. I don't know if it's brain related. Anyways, I consider myself right handed, but as I said, I do some things left handed.
