Mas Ayoob advised me and some other people to do that about thirty years ago. He had a reason. He was right then and, surprise, he's right now.

Ugh. This is disappointing to read about. At least it is an opportunity for the rest of us to see what can happen.
I just returned from a road trip. Made sure of 100% concealment, P'd in stalls with the door locked whenever I stopped, never let anyone I couldn't see behind me, kept my strong side guarded, met passersby face to face with smile and a nod, etc. etc. I am going retire my support side holstered lock blade for something I can deploy one handed.

Oh, and I profile the heck out of everyone. I've never met anyone, not a single person ever in my entire life who wore Raiders gear that I would trust. Not one. Ever. I have no evidence based or objective research to back this up, but I will continue regardless.

The anti-gun media around here are on a "campaign" of sorts. They report all gun violence, giving it the worst possible spin. In addition, they are running nightly stories about all the guns being stolen from law-abiding gun owners and ending up on the streets. This sort of story is designed to show that concealed carry people are "part of the problem" rather than "part of the solution." We know that is not true as we see instances of lawful gun owners using weapons to stop crime, often without firing a shot. Yet the media, our guardians of truth, will not report such a story because that works against the agenda.

I didn't say the criminal was a choirboy, only that this whole thing could have been sidestepped.

I don't always go in public restrooms.....but when I do I prefer Target.
It is a last ditch self defense weapon for cutting a BG's throat or slashing across their eyes if they're trying to steal my weapon, or somehow get it....
I am a Raiders fan and sometimes wear something to show it, but not much lately.
The people I never ever trust are the ones in three piece suits spouting campaign promises. It doesn't matter which team they support.
This whole incident sucks and I wasn't there so I don't KNOW as much as all the judges. Maybe he didn't conceal well, behind the back not to hot, poor awareness. All possibile. In reality we are all targets and if you thinkk you aree smart enough and good enough that it "CAN NEVER HAPPEN TO YOU" You are over confidant, and wrong. If the other guy is smart enough we all have our moment. A truly smart and tough guy will not be wearing a Raiders bandana or wait for the crapper. If I was going to be a criminal it would be suits, smiles, and helping old ladies across the street.

I think the media is leaving out some details. Thr guy was punched in the face, wondering if he ever even got to pee. But in the case of getting ambushed, your knife may have done no good.
I don't know I wasn't there...I do know I wouldn't have been standing in front of a urinal with people behind me...I always use a stall with the door locked and if the stalls are full I wait for one...I would hate to be attacked from behind with my Johnson in hand...
