No. and.....

I watched the entire Ring cycle on PBS a couple years ago. It was a production at the Met. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to watch it again to see the parts I slept through. It was on from like 11 p.m. to 2:00ish a.m. each night. Can't blame me for nodding off occasionally.

I don't blame you for nodding off and I hope you had a good seat cushion, too because the entire Ring cycle takes about 15 hours to perform.:confused:

Another SuperStar: Maria Callas

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j8KL63r9Zcw

Another New York City girl

For a long time anytime I saw Maria Callas it was some big, heavy role. She could handle it, but I thought that she sounded like that all the time. Almost too much. But then here comes the internet and youtube. I found out just how amazingly versatile she was and was just as good in delicate coloratura roles and how beautiful she sounded in those pieces. I have kicked myself around a lot for not looking into her sooner. That's a problem with depending on TV. You only see the performances they want to show. And they like BIG, so that is what you hear.

I had the same problem with Janice Joplin. All they ever showed on TV was her screaming and stomping her feet. I thought, "My gosh that's terrible." Then later I found out that the woman could REALLY sing.

PS: Maria Callas was also a beautiful doll to look at.

Simple and to the point....

Here's part of your boy's rider.

That's reasonable considering how protective he had to be of his voice. I read that when he was in the plane that broke in half on the runway, it was freezing but he gave his coat to someone else. Somebody gave him a hankie, and he tied it around his mouth!:)

Who was the rocker that had written into his contract that there was to be a large bowl of M&Ms (ONLY brown ones) in his dressing room?

It was Eddie Van Halen and it was "no brown m&m's".
He does realize that all m&m's are brown on the inside right?

What crazy demands would you make if you had that much clout?

Diet mountain dew only. And hot sauce...not the glorified vinegar some people call hot sauce...some good habanero hot sauce. And I like it warm...at least 74 degrees. I don't want to get chilly. And I sleep with a fan running for the noise, thank you. AND NO BACON!!!

Which gave rise to a parody.....

It was Eddie Van Halen and it was "no brown m&m's".

This kind of prima donna attack behavior is lampooned in:

One large tube of KY jelly???? Oh, and it explains that the ice is for drinks.:D
