As some of you know I have been accumulating NY-1 and other NYPD guns for some time now. I have been more selective lately looking for better or rare examples.

I came across this one

Its barely fired maybe just a full six or so shots.

It came with the original box, these arent seen often and the only ones I have ever seen were overruns, not from the NYPD.

Inside the box, most of the cleaning kit (missing the mop) a manual and the paper from the NYPD saying it passed the requirements. Also the inner liner and plastic trigger thingie.

Hopefuly your still looking at this and saying wow its a nice complete package, cool :)

Now the extra GEM in the box is this. (Its hard to read never mind take a photo of, sorry)

This is the original receipt from the NYPD Equipment section from September of 1989.

While I have seem NIB overrun guns this is the nicest NY-1 package I have ever seen.

I paid a fair price for it and had to beat out a well known internet seller (woof woof? ;)) so I am guessing he thought it to be a good deal and he didn't know about the box contents...

Oh just in case you never saw most of the collection, yeah I'm showing off a bit.

Awesome find. It's got to be rare to find a LEO- issued gun with box & papers.

It looks like Cousin Eddie & his brood snuck into your family picture. You can see em on the right, the ones with the cylinder release that goes in instead of forward:-)

Gee, Many of those guns have de-spurred hammers and are most likely DAO. Yet folks have taken the 637 Wyatt to task because it is set up in that manner: despurred, DAO. Wonder who has more experience in this area?

P.S. To the OP: Be forewarned. If you try to sell this new gem ( and it IS a gem), the prospective buyer will criticize it and say, "The cleaning mop is missing." Been there, heard things like that.

Of course they will! Actually that will be far down the list. They'll start with something like "that's not an original NY-1, blah blah blah..,"

Oh yeah. Of course the guy on the other side of the table/counter will tell you with a straight face how his copper-plated .44 HE 2nd Model with the 3 & 31/64 barrel, chopped trigger guard, studded turquoise stocks, and Canadian penny front sight is a factory original special-order for Pancho Villa.
