Good morning all. Yesterday was a strange day, weather wise and other wise. The severe weather that plagued Central and Southeast Texas appears to have moved off into the Gulf overnight. The weather this morning is damp and cool.

I started walking for exercise in September 2014. I now walk about 250 to 300 miles per month and have become half way physically fit. Yesterday, after a rain delay for the start of my morning walk I got to the mile mark on my normal route and thought this is taking too long. I quickened my pace and thought... I hope I do not break, go for it!

I ran for the first time in probably 25 years. I'd run a block then walk a block, did that for three miles. While not as dramatic as Forrest's experience, it was an emotional experience for me. This morning I'm sore in new muscles.

Later in the day I found out that a 1st cousin that had estranged himself from my family had passed away at 69 years of age. He and I were close at one time, he had been in the Army Special Forces and served two tours in Vietnam. I'll write more on him when I come to grips with the news myself.

I've got to change and go walking, no running today. Be safe. Each of you have a great day!

Well folks it's been a quiet day here in the campground. Nothing much going on except for people coming in.
Will be headed out for some holiday goodies.
Going to call it a night! ;)
Life is good here at Camp Sitonyourassis! :D

This guy stopped in for a cold one and reported no hordes were seen!

Goodnight everybody,,,,,,

I know he's a mammal but can you really trust a drunken bear? After all we do discuss best bear guns on here a lot.

Good morning everyone,,,,,Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
It's going to be a scorcher here at Camp Sitonyourassis, temps in the upper 80's and high humidity! Went from Monsoon season directly to the heat of summer! But I have to admit it's better than Snow and Cold! ;)
Headed out to pick up a gas grill and a Plasticskool shed for here at the campground, as George Carlin would say I need more room for my stuff! :)

No not really, He's just telling me what I want to hear about hordes just to get the beer, if I throw in pretzels he'll do a dance! :D

How ironic...a drunken bear dancing? Back "in the day", I was often told that when I attempted to dance, I could easily be mistaken for one...

Today's Agenda

Good Morning!

The kids have been bugging me for about 2-3 weeks wanting to know what I wanted for Fathers Day? I'm very hard to buy for. I buy want I want when the mood strikes me.

So I decided I wanted my shop/garage totally cleaned. Everything removed and gone through.

We have kept a bunch of car parts, automotive paint, interior pieces ect. That now need to be tossed.

Old waxes, old spray cans, pieces of bottled oil, pieces of gallons of automotive paint, light bulbs We kept allot of the car parts in case the parts house needed a core. And in case the part didn't work properly, fit or leaked etc. Bye Bye old parts.

It's been 4 years since it was cleaned. My son did it when I was in the hospital having my leg removed. He was so worried that I wouldn't make it and to take his mind off everything, he cleaned the garage.

So today, wifey, myself, son, daughter and grandson are tackling the shop. In four years it's amazing how much stuff accumulated! But we've also worked on allot of cars. And its senseless to keep parts and touch up paint ETC for cars that I sold 2-3 years ago! I've bought and sold allot of cars in the past 4 years and the junk has piled up. And I'm also just sick of the cob webs and dust. And would be nice to gain some room?

So we are going to empty everything, clean the floor, clean the giant ceiling fan, but my main job is to tell em want not to keep! Time to freshen up the shop! The four years has went by fast.

So That's What's On Today's Agenda!

Saturday morning !
Rains did come last night. Thunder and lightning, wind, but nothing bad right here!
About 3/4" total last night, just about the amount we needed.
Storms forecast coming again this afternoon, but maybe we will continue to be lucky?
Horses in the pasture, a little mucky at the entrance, but again not bad.
Going to town, Washington, for some groceries, and need to see about a rod tip repair kit.
So the big W, and a chance to see the variety of people in the county. Of course when they see me they say the same thing! 😋

Nothing profound, exotic, erotic, perspicacious, just the facts!
Hope everyone's Saturday is going well, and that everything goes as planned ! 🌈
