My Groupie Anthem?

Robert Plant wrote this song about groupies.

I still haven't decided on a song for my groupies
:D:D:D

Chuck

Mines a song I wrote. For my lady groupies "Wheel Chair Bound" played to the music of The Midnight Ryder!

My other groupie anthem is "Old Women Make The Best Soup". Played to hard jungle drum rhythm! :p:p:p

Thirty years ago, a total different story!

What can I say, my groupies aged along with me!

Balisong? Is that a Zeppelin tune?

No, but it will make you sing if you screw up your swing! ;)

I was always taught to respect my elders, but it keeps getting harder to find one. 😮

*In the eastern part of Iowa, this isn't necessarily true, lots of us geezers and senior ladies around! I suspect this is true in most rural, farming, ranching areas! Something about land causes this ? 😇

It's called orneriness! You guys must all be from the "town too tough to die". :D

(Duckin' and runnin'. :p)

The USS Yolo has now been off the invasion beaches of Okinawa since April 1, 1945. My count makes this day 75. The notes of Homer Bast CO of the Yolo for this date 1945:

June 14, 1945

Worked on the supply report and finished it. Yolo has no more fresh and frozen provisions so business is slack. Only a few SCs and LCTs drop by for water and stew beef. Orders came to transfer a storekeeper to the west coast. Much against our will we sent the best - he deserves it! Played bridge tonight as no movie was scheduled due to construction on the booth. On the beach ships unload and depart. On shore a construction and building boom is under way. Far to the south the battle progresses, but if it were not for that, Okinawa would be like Pearl. Tokuno was bombed again today as it was yesterday.

Col Francis I. Fenton (kneeling) at the funeral for his son Michael, an infantryman in B 1/5 who was killed in action on Okinawa. At the time, Col Fenton was the Engineer Officer for the 1st MarDiv. Col Fenton's other son was also career Marine, as was his grandson. Col Fenton later said the other men who died on Okinawa weren't so fortunate as Mike, who "at least had his father there to pray over his body at the end."

Need some positive thoughts and prayers this evening.
Just got word that a car carrying three young men went
off a county road hitting a cement culvert and flipping 3
times. A great 17 year old kid and close friend of the family
was a passenger. Details are still sketchy but Isaac McRoberts
and two brothers were in the car. One of the brothers had to be
cut from the wreckage and airlifted to a Hospital with a Trauma
Center in Indy. We have heard from Isaac's mother and she said
that he is pretty cut up but conscious and moving his extremeties.
They are in the process of taking Isaac to the same hospital to
check for possible Spleen or Kidney damage.
Isaac is a special young man to us and we are all holding our
collective breath praying for a positive outcome.
The kid is a good student and refuses to be around kids who
use alcohol or drugs. All State catcher on the High School
Baseball team who just competed in the Semi State last
weekend.
If you are inclined to do so, please keep these three young
men in your prayers tonight.

Thank You, Chuck

Good Nighty Night

It's been a long crazy and lazy day.

Supposed to have bad storms here tomorrow? Nothing I can do about it, just ride it out.

I hope everyone sleeps well and has great dreams!

Oops, got to go, just heard the dish washer cycle stop. My 1911's are probably clean!!! Thanks for the tip on running them in the dish washer. I'm down, for anything that saves me time!
