Need A Red Dot Suggestion For My New 327

I own two Ultradot Series 6 Matchdot II 1X30mm Red Dot systems.

- Ultradot offers a lifetime warranty and is used by many NRA Bullseye competitors.
- They are easy to zero and hold zero.
- The red dot will not wash out in bright sunlight due to its' ten brightness settings.

Pictured is a Matchdot II mounted on my JM 625 Champion, shot rested at 25 yards, it makes me 'Look' competent.

I'd second this. Ultra's are very good quality scopes.

That's a Chinese knockoff of the Aimpoints. I have a Primary Arms (same as Holosun) on my AR. They get good reviews for what they are, but I wanted something a bit better for this gun.

Don't forget about the C-More Railway Red Dot.

Most of the top Steel Challenge shooters use this red dot.

Midwayusa.com usually has them on sale for $208.

I got the vortex venom mounted tonight and gave it a shot. I couldn't get the dot low enough.... What am I doing wrong?

In my experiences with Red Dots read all instruction carefully!

Allchin mount and a Burris Fastfire III is a great combo.

I have this same set up on several S&W revolvers, be sure to get the Fastfire 3, not the Fastfire 2, the 3 has many improvements.
They are available with 3 or 8 MOA dots.

Tight groups at 100 yards ? The red dot isn't going to do it. Look at scopes with at least 4X to 6X magnification.
At 100 yards the dot covers up too much of the target for precise shot placement , cross hairs work much better for tight groups at that distance .

You can shoot just as good of groups with a red dot vs a scope so long as you match the target to the dot size. Magnified pistol scopes are useless

This info is for posterity, for anyone in the future doing a search. Some "electronic sight" manufacturers offer lifetime warranties on their optics, others don't. Just an FYI. This could be a deciding factor for heavy recoil use, or if you are buying used. I will only buy used if the manufacturer has a lifetime warranty.

What in the world does a lifetime warranty to do with this topic?

Usually the mount rail is the problem when you can't get enough elevation or the reverse. The red dot has just so many inches of change built into it. I think my Burris said 60 inches, but I'm not sure. Both my Burris mounted and easily sighted ion on a couple different revolvers, 617-6 and 986 with Raptor and Allchin mounts.
