Picked up the M&P M2.0 Compact today, in .40S&W. I have to say trigger is improved yet again over the full size 2.0 and may even be nicer than the .45 Shield. I have been a die-hard M&P person and also a Glock fanboy. What I will say is that the Glock 19 finally has a formidable opponent. Likely, an opponent to finally take over it's spot.

I highly doubt that (taking over the G19). I do like options and think it's best for the industry.

I haven't gotten to get my hands on one yet so if you can please post a pic. How's it shoot?

Congrats.

I was handling a new 2.0 Compact at my local gun shop. I recently bought a new Sig P320 Compact and a Gen5 G19. Now I want to make it a threesome! The new Smith is a really nice gun!

I also spent some time handling one this afternoon in the LGS I work in and really like how it feels in my hand, better I dare say than my G23. If spare magazines were a little more economical I just might get one.

Congrats! First post (I've seen) from anyone who has one.

Now, we need pics and range report!

i was been told that trigger is not as good than his big brothers 4.25/5" 2.0

Quite nice! Nearly picked up mine at my lgs today, except they only had safety.models. had to order my 9mm w/o safety. This is gonna be a long 7-10 days. Anyone have any info on any holsters?!

I love mine in 9mm with the safety. I think it might just take over for AIWB use from my G19. Put 200 rounds through it Wednesday and will do at least that or more tomorrow morning.

JM Custom Kydex has this model listed on his website, I ordered one from him a few days ago. I also just wrote to G-Code to ask them to make holsters for it.

This is going to be a huge hit for S&W.

They fit in the regular full size M&P holsters. There is an extra 1/8" at the bottom of the holster since the barrel is shorter.

Congrats on the new gun. I picked one up and once my holster comes in I will be carrying mine. The gun just fits my hand better and it makes it more enjoyable to shoot. I am a little more accurate with this than my G19 so its a win win.

Probably just variation between 2 different guns. The 4.25 and compact are so close in size it would be really strange if S&W designed and built a different trigger for the compact.

I always thought S&W was missing a bet by not chambering the .45 ACP compact frame in other calibers. Looks like they have done that, amd my prediction is that they will sell a ton of them.

Can you take a pic from the rear looking at back of slide? Want to see if yours looks like mine( might have a issue). Thanks!!

I picked up mine in .40SW on Monday this week. Weather has been rotten all week, got down to my pasture range Thurs. Only shot one full magazine WW white box 165gr. Shot from 25yrds, standing two hand hold. Target was standard IPSC with a stuck on 3" dot over the A. First 5 shot string was center hold on the dot, shot about 2 to 3 inch high, minute of fist size group. Next 5 shots I held a 6 O'clock hold on the dot, three shots in the dot and two just out. Happy, happy camper. The final shots were a decent group, center of my 9" gong. I tried to post pics of the target earlier but can't get them to post. I have been waiting for this model every since I got my .45C. More practice and then qual later this month. Great gun!

Are the Nites on the LE versions only?
Are the LE versions for LE Only?
You can have night sights installed on any of them. There are places that have models with factory night sights listed.

LE guns are only available to Law Enforcement and other first responders only.
