I use my 15-22 in steel challenge and bowling pin matches. I wanted to do the same to mine without the cost. I found a video on YouTube (sorry I can't remember who posted it) that shows how to polish the trigger and hammer. Also shows how to bend the stock springs including amount of bend. Bending the trigger spring will not cause lite strikes. I was able to reduce mine down to just under 3lbs with this and a slight bend on the hammer spring. This changed my trigger drastically. I wouldn't ever consider replacing mine now. There are other things you can also do to take travel out as well. Hope this helps.

Not sure what model you have, I've got the Newest MOE version and the trigger pull is very light in stock condition. So much so that friends who've shot it are almost always surprised the first shot. I was actually concerned at first but after having it looked at and testing it by whacking the butt stock very hard I'm a little more worry free these days. Love this gun, only prob is that I'm used to my .22 mag and I tend to try and shoot it as such.

Prior to replacing the trigger, my several months old 15-22 Sport had a measured factory trigger pull of 4.0lb 6.0oz. I found that remarkable. Better than any of my factory AR triggers which ranged from around 6+ to nearly 9lbs.

I gave my J&P springs to a friend after buying a Geissele SSA-E for my M&P15 so he could use them in his 15-22. He hasn't had any light strike issues as a result, but I have heard issue of people who have. Its like an $11 chance basically. But on the cheap, they will reduce the pull.

I have the SSA-E held in by their 901 pin set and it's sweeeet. The RRA Varmint trigger set #AR0093NMKV is a good low price 3.5-4lb setup and they are usually on ebay for $80. shipped.

Will the SSA-E with KNS non-rotating pins fit on the 15-22?

The 15-22 needs pins made for a poly lower which are approximately .080 thicker than metal lowers. I used CMC pins that are made for poly lowers measuring .154 dia and .980 instead of .901 long. They worked great. The shorter pins when tightened will pull sides of lower in.

I also have the fde magpul model trigger was 5.7 little polish and jp spr. Its at 3.4 have not had chance to fire its 7 degrees to check for light hits

I'll have to check the trigger pull on mine once I pick it back up (it is over at a friend's so his kids could shoot while I was deployed). I don't remember the trigger being all that bad for a stock trigger. Now my curiosity is up.
