"Assault Weapon" ammo

Read this on the 'Net:

"Florida State Sen. Linda Stewart, a Democrat who introduced the amendment to ban assault weapons, said on the Senate floor that ammunition from assault weapons can blow up inside the victim's body and that there is no reason for anyone to have them."

That's news to me!

Does stuff like this ever get challenged? People who tell these kind of stories need to be exposed for the inaccuracies/lies that they spread.

True, but....

The thing is that tumbling rounds are nothing new. The British built the Mk VII .303 round in 1910 with a lightweight nose to shift the C of G to the rear. On impact that meant the round would very likely yaw and tumble, all 174gr of it.

That wasn't common knowledge in the late 60's. But people were talking about how the government gave out soldiers plastic guns and it was such a little bitty bullet compared to REAL rifles that shot .30 caliber, like the Springfield gun cartridge that was a REAL rifle that had worked for 60 years so why did they want to replace it with a toy that shot pellets?

Can you prove.....

Maybe I have what it takes to write for the Post!

New "anti-matter" ammunition kills millions daily! This reporter has just confirmed the existance of ammunition for the deadly AR-7 "assault rifle" which kills so completely no body is left behind.

Devloped by the U.S. Air Force during the wars in Southeast Asia, the 22 mm long rifle AR-7 uses the same "super-ghostmaker" ammo as the Aegis anti-aircraft cannon, but in a smaller size to make it easier to sneak into schools and parks.

Made of "anti-matter" when the bullet hits a person who supports Mayor Bloomberg's reasonable agenda it causes the victim to dematerialize at a molecular level. Recent photographs, included in this article, show just how complete this dematerialization is.

Crazed gun-rights groups intent upon preventing common sense gun safety restictions have been observed handing out these murderous weapons and boxes containing 500 rounds of this deadly ammo to children at day-care centers, little leauge games and in public elementary school lunch rooms. Costing just $3.28 to produce the AR-7 breaks into two pieces for concealment. It fires its 1000 round magazine in 0.8 seconds and the bullets have onboard GPS trackers so they never miss.

Rather than using conventional propellants, the 22 mm long rifle "anti-matter" bullets use lighter than air hydrogen, so that a killer can carry an unlimited supply with him.

The AR-7s onboard nuclear fueled energy matrix field generator allows it to be totally invisible to the naked eye, and for it to fit in an average teenagers front blue jean pocket. The forcefield generated deflects bullets fired by all current LEO weapons.

Professors at Yale, Harvard and Sanford belive that roving "death squads" executed tens of millions of people in late October early November 2016, acting on subliminal telepathic messages eminating from the 'ghoul-metal' reciever in the AR-7. There were believed to be especially high murder rates in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio.

The lack of bodies so far unearthed is proof of the existance of this meanace!

Can you prove that it ISN'T true?

People also thought...

...that if you got hit in the arm or leg with a .45, you'd lose it. I didn't exactly believe this myself, but thought it was possible. When I found that the military uses FMJ, it made me scratch my head. Of course I was a teenager in the late '60s and came from a family with no real gun knowledge. Information was scarce because it wasn't flying through the air like we have now.

Since joining this forum in 2012 my knowledge of the gun world has grown from about .01% to a whopping 2% in five whole years.

That's ok.....

A man gets tired typing the entire word...malfunction.

Way back when computers were new to us and had 5 1/4" disk drives I was involved in an intense class on A/C design for several days that had me worn out.

Reading the instructions, it said to insert my boo-table disk. What the heck is a boo-table. I had me for a few minutes because my dizzy brain was trying to comprehend what it meant. After it dawned on my the class could help but remind me of it.

A friend of ours was a hematologist working in a lab that handled biopsies for cancer testing. She pick up a jar that had a nus written on it. What in the world is a nus??? She asked her friend what body part was a nus. It finally dawned on her what it was. Now I know that it's not only me.:D

News flash:

Stupid, dishonest, malicious people say stupid, dishonest, malicious things.

I always assume that anti-gun cultists are lying to me at some level, and I'm NEVER wrong.

SIPRI, a Swedish leftwing disarmament group once got on their high horse about M193, and how "cruel" it was because within a certain band of ranges, the bullet yawed, went base first and fragmented.

Having the sort of cruel streak which I deeply respect, famous wound ballistician, Dr. Fackler demonstrated that the standard Swedish 7.62x51mm ball round performed in EXACTLY the same way... only being larger, it was MORE devastating.

SIPRI slunk off to concoct another made up "crisis".

They latched on to what one of the teachers (who is a hunter) said about AR15 ammo. He was talking about the bullet tumbling to enhance the wound. Add hyperbole and it "blows up".

Or they could be expressing a mis-understanding of an expanding (blowing up)hollow point bullet. When they don't understand the comments rarely make sense.

Of course it's not like they care about the truth anyway.

They never let facts and the truth stand in the way of "the narrative".

They claim to hate Nazis, but they NEVER fail to use the tactics of Josef Goebbels.

Talk about dumb instructors. When I was in basic training, the M16 was just being introduced into the US Air Force inventory. The instructor told everyone that they didn't have to hit the guy to kill them. A close miss would kill the enemy because the bullet was traveling so fast, it would suck the air out of the guys lungs and he would suffocate! Needless to say, I had no respect for anything else that duffus told us.

My light saber can beat your antimatter gun. It doesn't even need ammo, and it runs until the car battery I have to push around with it dies.

I am wondering if after the AF Mr. Doofus taught the Glock to newbies at the police academy. It would explain a few things.

I need to get me some of that "full auto" ammo for my AR so I can rock-n-roll!

I have been thinking of all the homicides I had during my career. Eliminating officer involved shootings, I can only remember one homicide with an AR15, one homicide with an AK, and two homicides with a muzzleloading singleshot percussion pistol. These aren't exactly the weapons of choice. If we use that as statistics, we have an equal chance of being killed with a muzzleloading singleshot pistol as an AR or AK.
The close range shotgun wounds that I saw were beyond horrendous, and I saw more than a few. I'm sure there are some here that are too delicate for a detailed description of the wounds, both external and internal. Those here who have seen these types of wounds know what I'm talking about. Politicians who talk about "exploding bullets" need to spend some time in a coroner's office watching autopsies.
