Keep Shield or upgrade to Sig P365?

Upgrade is the word that I got stuck on too. Like some others here, just not seeing the 365 as an upgrade.

Lets see! Weighs less, shorter , thinner, easier to conceal and holds much more "Ammo"!

Sounds like an Upgrade to me! What's the old saying " If it looks like an Upgrade, carries like an Upgrade and shoots like an Upgrade then it's an "Upgrade"! :D

Need to see how it holds in my hand!

Seems many are replacing their Shields with the P365 and i will say the 365 interests me and i will look at 1 if i ever see 1!

Anybody here got 1 yet or planning on getting 1?

Who are “many” and where are “they” finding them? I like Sig but something about that model bothers me... as far as a CCW, I can’t imagine it shooting better then my Shield(s). If you carry for a living, you get comfortable with gun of choice and stick with it. If you need it, being unfamiliar with it may be costly. If you use it and are lucky enough to go home afterwards, it won’t be going home with you....

There are a LOT of pistols out there that feel great when fondling them at the counter. The REAL question is how do they feel to SHOOT, compared to the Shield?

The XD-S Feels nice to fondle, but doesn't feel as nice to shoot as the Shield, even though it's a bit heavier. If it did feel nicer to shoot, I'd be owning one of them, instead of my Shield.

The PF-9 weighs less, is slightly smaller in all dimensions and feels very nice to fondle, but is very harsh to shoot. I owned one and carried it for 3 Yrs before trading it for my Shield. The list goes on.

Before giving up your Shield for a P365, try one first and shoot them side-by-side.

I'm on a waiting list for a P365, but I won't be giving up my Shield.

There's an old saying: the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. Could it be an upgrade for you? Sure, if in fact it does all those things (weighs less, shorter, thinner, easier to conceal, and shoots better) but a couple of those things are subjective. What you think is easier to conceal and shoots better may not be the same to me. Length, weight, and width are all factual, of course, but how they "feel" to each person can vary. Some people actually like to conceal carry a full size 1911...and while I really like my SR1911 CMD, I don't want to carry it. Different strokes for different folks.

I don't criticize anyone for liking one gun more than another. I like what I have, and at this point in life, I'm content with what I have, and don't have any plans to change. I hope each gun owner has the luxury of owning a gun he really likes, and that works really well for him.

I need to get night sights on mine. Which sights you have?

the thought of $50 for a $5 mag give me "a terrible headache in my eye."

If I had to pay $50.00 for a mag, my wallet would clamp shut and would have to call AAA to open it with the jaws of life......
And... With it being a Brand New item, if it goes like so many other new platforms, Spare mags (and other accessories) will be hard to find for several Months.
The forums will be FULL of threads like:
Who Has Spare Mags
Who Makes A Holster For...
Who Makes Night Sights For...
Who Makes A Trigger Kit For...
and more. ;)

I saw one

I saw one in a gun shop for "display only". They only had the one and it was NOT for sale. I will keep my Glock 26, as it too holds 10 rounds. As for smaller, I have my Shield and my Bodyguard380. Not impressed, besides everything Sig releases now, gets recalled.
