S&W 648 no dash, 6 inch in .22 WMR

Someone traded one of these in at my LGS this week. All that stainless for a .22 WMR? Whew! It was an impressive handgun with gorgeous target grips and stainless finish. The shop owner was over the moon about it being a no-dash and fairly uncommon production. I love a good .22 handgun but the magnum version just never did anything for me.

Are these as desirable as my shop friend claims or just another S&W?

Greenmachine, that looks sweet! Looks like we both have the same type "wooden combat" grip... So its true (?) there's only one factory type like this, and it's still considered the most desired orig 648 grip?

I gotta go shopping at OP's LGS and Pawnshops! need one to shoot and mine to keep?
