TTSH What 3rd gen did you see at the show?

Well I am sure he is a very nice person. But I am BACK... so the pickins will be even harder..! Luckily unless it's on GB, I won't be in MA. Well technically I will be there Tuesday for work but cannot buy from brick and mortar for out of state purchases. AFAIK anyway.
Seriously I am about set for 3rd gens. But sometimes you just cannot pass up a good deal.

I know that feeling! :D

And I'm not so worried about local deals either. The Jeppo is 700 miles away. GaryS is my main competition for local MA deals on 3rd Gens, but he mostly stays in the greater Boston area while I venture out to the west and down south into Little Rhody and even CT. It's deals on the web (GB et al) and here in this forum's classifieds where one must "Fear the Jeppo" snagging the gun out from under you! :p

Fear the Jeppo?

Today is Black Friday and I’m off to do some special shopping. Hopefully, Jeppo will pick up an early gift for himself. Don’t worry fellows, today’s almost 4 hours of driving is dedicated to a revolver. No Gen 3’s on the shopping list for today.

Wow! :) Another 4 hours of driving? :D That would get me to Bangor, Maine on a good day. ;) Or all the way into Boston downtown on a very bad snow day! :p

So Team 3rd Gen can breathe easy today while the revolver folks (for now, including moi!) should be a little worried? That's a surprise change of pace! :)

Looks like I am not getting out of here to go shopping before tomorrow morning. Many household & family obligations today. Probably for the best. Budget says I am broke until January, but the budget doesn't know about lay-away. :p The bigger problem? Not ticking off the good wife. :o

Good luck Jeppo and safe travels

Well, the gun I was primarily after sold yesterday. :( The back-up gun (always have a back-up!) is still there or at least is still on the inventory list, updated last night. But now I'd need a back-up to the back-up to justify the trip.

As it turned out, the good wife was called into work this morning, so I am on elderly mother-in-law babysitting duty until she gets home. :o Once again, I had my plan, but God had his... and God wins yet again. ;)

Well??? Well??? We are waiting! :D

I thought about posting a couple photos but 18 was very specific when he created this thread. Given that yesterday's "find" is neither a Semi-Auto nor a 3rd G, I don't think it belongs here. Anyway, I'm one HAPPY camper!!! :D

Off to the gun show...wonder what's hiding there for me.

If you want to hear God laugh, make a plan.

Or, the older version:

Man proposes, God disposes.

Well, you don't have to post a photo, but at least tell us what was worth another 4-hour trip! :D Inquiring minds would like to know! :) I think you can do that without breaking the rules! ;)

Oh no!!!   You've got the addiction bad! :D

Yeah, I should have known. :o This is the second time this year it has happened to me at the same shop... :( ... waiting for the sale to kick in and someone else snags the damn gun before I can get there. :( Remember that pristine perfect Model 2214 in original factory box? Yeah, somebody else is enjoying it right now... not moi.

Jeppo feel free to post whatever you like in this thread. Anyone else too. Thread "drift" is encouraged in this one. ;)

Good hunting at the show today! Regards 18DAI

18 already knows ‘cause the motivation for tracking down a 19, 66 or 686 came about from watching him shoot revolvers. Another thoughtful member knew of one that was about to be put up for sale. I’m quite pleased I got early warning.

This is an N.C. State Highway Patrol marked 66-1 from 1980. Very nice condition. The weather forecast says we’ll be out on the range together tomorrow.

Very cool!!! :D :) Looks to be in outstanding condition! Now I see how it was worth the long drive! :D

So now, hopefully, you are out of money and going to keep a low profile for a while... yes? :D

Mandatory semi-auto content: I'm wondering tonight if the Model 39-2 sitting over in a shop near me is worth the moderately high asking price? I don't get to find out until next Wednesday. :(

ETA 11/29/2018: The 39-2 sold. :(
