Absent Comrade
"Return Of The Pink Panther" can still crack me up. So can "Airplane".
"Glory" is the best Civil war movie I've seen.
"Mister Roberts".
"The Cheyenne Social Club".
"The Man Who Would Be King".
"The Maltese Falcon".
"White Nights"--Baryshnikov and Greg Hines, both very believable in their roles.
"The Hunt For Red October", featuring a Lithuanian-born captain in the Soviet navy who speaks with a Scottish accent.
"The Gray Fox".
"The Full Monty", another feel-good flick.
And a brilliant made-for-TV entry, Dustin Hoffman starring in "Death Of A Salesman", with Colleen Dewhurst, Charles Durning and John Malkovitch. Hoffman was astonishing.
"The Sting".
"Coal Miner's Daughter", with Cissy Spacek doing her own singing and sounding uncannily like Loretta. (Later I saw her sing onstage with Loretta. You could close your eyes and not tell which one you were hearing.) Levon Helm was also very good in that one, as was Tommy Lee Jones as Mooney.
