When I think back to when I was young and my parents would say things like "you're lucky you have a calculator, we had to use a slide rule" or "We didn't own a television we listened to the radio"....... I had a hard time understanding what they were talking about.
Today, I say things like.......
"when I was young they didn't have ATM's. We went to the bank to get money."
"I never thought that someone would ever pay $3.00 for a bottle of water."
"When I was in grade school we had 4 TV channels. And the last one turned off at 1am to the playing of the national anthem."
If you find yourself saying things like this what would they be?
