Which vehicle would you choose if you could only have one?

Yeah, one of those Ford Anti-terror armored vehicle. One of these with a trailer in the back with two motorcycles... yeah, that would do it...

I can't find the exact photo... but I saw it this past weekend at the gun show... wish I had taken a photo. Looked like this but without the chrome wheels...and it had a cut out on top with covered area for shooting... looked cool as hell...

Gotta be Khalid's new ride. Guess he couldn't get parts for the Hummer H1 anymore. Joe

It was like this one but painted all black with a texture like that of a bed liner....

The Gurkha, Kestrel and Balkan models are armoring kits based on the Ford F550 chassis. The Canadian Government deploys the Gurkha, as does the US military in Iraq.

In August 2005, production commenced with the Kestrel and Gurkha models. With its traditional SUV configuration of four side doors and a single rear luggage door, the vehicle is armored to exceed the European B7 and floor protection that greatly exceeds NATO Stanag 4569 level 1, along with excellent side load blast protection against IEDs. Payload after armoring is in excess of 5000lbs.

Give me a heavy duty , all purpose snow machine.
Capable of transporting multiple people and carrying a payload.

I'm heading north to the snow , lots of snow.....
9 mos out of the year.
most people will head south to the warmer weather, not me , Im avoiding the crowds.
plus , zombies wont be able to maneuver as well in deep snow :)

I guess I would just stick with my 2018 ram Quad cab and have my Yamaha Grizzly four wheeler in the bed. The Grizzly can haul several hundred pounds of gear on the front and back racks and go places were no truck or jeep can go so the only way people could come and get me is on another four wheeler or on foot and I think that would be so much trouble there would be many easier targets they would seek first.

I would probably go with some kind of compact SUV with 4-wheel drive. Easy to get around, probably gets decent gas mileage. But something that can handle some off-road/rough terrain driving, too.

I recently saw a test where a bunch of compact SUVs/crossovers were tested on some off-road driving trails, and while the "winner" was a Jeep, the VW Tiguan came in at a close 2nd. Probably wouldn't stand out as much as a Hummer or APC.

Or, I could just ditch the whole low-profile thing and get one of these...

I have a Ford Fusion but it's getting hard to squish into , hopefully a mid size SUV next spring. Navistar 4WD , reserve fuel tanks and camper would be nice

I have mine already. My second 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis, which unfortunately is not made anymore. It's a twin to the one I just sold that I put 242,000 miles on, so there is some evidence of reliability and it is big enough to carry a lot of cargo.

I'm with the deuce and a half multi fuel crowd. Pretty much will run on anything petrol based and hard to stop when in motion.

I have A 97 Ford Heavy Duty extended cab with7.3 Power Stroke. I'll keep it. Winch plugs into front or back and I can set my gin poles up on the rack and load up just about anything I can haul. Have a 2500 Watt inverter setup too.
Plus the cross box carries all my possibles including a one burner stove and coffee pot.

Just bought a 92 Mazda B2600i for my business. Special customer with requirements of a small set up on campus.
4WD, a carburetor, X-cab. Sips gas compared to a full sized truck.
My wife has a raptor. It is great on and off road, but in a social meltdown I will let the meth heads fight over it. The little Mazda ain't gonna make anybody develop truck envy. Just look like another ol coot trying to get somewhere else

Count me as another vote for FoMoCo's peerless Panther platform, the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis. I've owned a number of them, at present I have a 2001 Vic P71 and a 2003 Grand Marquis LSE. If I could have only one car I'd take a low mileage Grand Marquis LS, or even better a Marauder.

My other choice would be a 1985 F-150 with the 300 six and a manual trans. You can't kill them.

Following in the footsteps of the choose 5 guns thread,

Which vehicle would you choose (can be one you don't own now) if you had to pick one to bug out due to zombie attack, plague, financial meltdown, whatever.... Even if you are staying put where you are, you still will need to get around.

I think I'd probably want an H1 Hummer.

Only ~$25,398.00 on top of the base vehicle, which would bring it to $100k+
