I have an old box of factory 357 lead swc loads. The bullet is tiny. I have never seen a swc with this small of a profile. I am talking about the part that is not in the case.

I too remember those, bullet crimped down with just a small lead "head" sticking above the case mouth. Box said "R357M11" or something like that. Joe

Half jacket or swaged crimped over front driving band. Wish we had a pic.

I have been reloading for over 40 years and I know what things look like. I am unable to post pictures. However, if someone will send me their email in a PM, I will send pictures.

Sounds like a "Full Wadcutter" reload to me
Edit- "Double -ended Wadcutter' is what I meant

Remington did load a multi ball round at one time. Top projectile may have had a point.

Are they these? These taught me how to properly clean a gun they leaded so badly.

Swaged lead bullets driven at high velocity will certainly make you appreciate the Lewis Lead Remover.

I think I still have a partial box of them and will check. I liked them and they were accurate loads for a few rounds. After a few cylinders you had a smooth bore and the rounds went flying everywhere.

Right or wrong, you have a crazy memory for numbers.

Edit to add second pic, as the first is designated R357M1. Not sure what difference M11 is.
