What’s with “The Curse Of Oak Island”?

Just to be picky on a Saturday afternoon with nothing better to do: Geraldo Rivera spells his first name with a 'G' but pronounces it like an 'H'. Maybe he's a fake Hispanic????

I don't watch Oak Island, but I do enjoy Josh Gates' shows. But like the treasure hunters of Oak Island, Josh is always "almost there." They never actually find anything, but it sure looks like an adventure looking for it.

For all I know, they might shoot the entire show on a sound stage, but it's entertaining.

I used to like watching Josh Gate's shows a Lot more when he had Erin Ryder on there!! Just sayin!!

There was a show a few years back, they were looking for some of Jessie James loot, they did find some mason jars with gold and silver coins.

What bothered me about that show was they were looking in Kansas.
There were many locales where the James' were aided and protected.
But in Kansas , there were many folks who would shoot them on sight!

As old as this site purportedly is I expect, at the very least, they'll eventually turn up Judge Crater and probably parts of Amelia Earhart's plane as well!

Watching shows on the History channel has helped me find my true calling.
I self identify as an ancient astronaut theorist.
All I have to do is preface everything I say with, "Could it be, as I suggest…"

Well, this thread is a couple of years old, and they have yet to find a treasure, so the prognosticators who voted that they will find nothing are right so far.

I watch OI the same way I watch Nasycar, record it and fast forward to teh wrecks.

Skinwalker Ranch will be back in May. Now that is a real reality show.

I'll tune in when the news reports that they found something… [emoji41]

Looking for something that isn't there. Reminds me of something in the news...
Reminds me of this quip, allegedly by Lord Bowen:

Philosophy is a blind man in a dark room
looking for a black hat which isn't there.

Bowen is more famously known for:

"The rain, it raineth on the just
And also on the unjust fella.
But chiefly on the just because
The unjust steals the just's umbrella"

They think somebody built a man Made harbor just to sink a ship.
Non ship guy here.
Let's see. Your on a small island in the ocean and you want to sink a ship.
This is hard! You are out in the ocean but I can't think of anywhere to sink a ship.
Maybe digging a harbor by hand would be the best way.
But I'm not a ship guy!

After watching a few episodes, I've concluded it is a show about two idiots with money to burn and a desire to be on TV. At the rate they are digging up Oak Island, the island will disappear in a few more episodes!

My friends brother works for the Screen Actors Guild in LA. Spoiler alert - he says every one of the "reality shows" is completely scripted - even the game warden shows which I like. And you swamp people (which my wife loves) …. Shoot the damn alligator when you first pull it up instead of letting it thrash around for gods sake …. And must we see the splashing water on your faces from the shot in slow motion each and every time ?? And clean your guns !!!!! And do you need a scope to shoot 2 feet? I could go on …..
And Josh Gates ? His voice is like nails on a chalkboard - immediate change of channel.
There - I feel a touch better now …

Why would i watch them discovering dirt, when there are class shows on gator hunting and moon shining? Watched that dirt digger show once for about 10 minutes.
