... Vlad instructs that he be given a uniform with lots of medals and placed near an antenna array...

Funny you should write that. New video shows Ukraine just used a Kamikaze drone to take out a military communication and surveillance tower, in Russia.

"We've got an awful lot of Vikings now in England"

From a statement by Ben Wallace, British Defense Secretary, regarding the influx of hundreds of military trainers coming to Britain from every Nordic nation, to buttress the mission of training Ukrainian soldiers.

New Zealand announced today it also is adding manpower to the international effort of building up Ukraine's military forces, and is sending 120 military trainers to Britain.

That's unusual, right? The "on Russian territory" part.

I've read that the Ukrainians have pledged not to use HIMARS to attack into Russian territory — a precondition set by the US to provide them — but perhaps they feel less constrained with lesser range weapons... or their own drones?

I haven't read of any agreed constraints on equipment, other than rocket artillery.

It's all in how you look at it.
Is Crimea Russian territory? I somehow think Ukraine does not see it as such, while i'm certain that Russia does.
looking at the battle maps I can find, Belarus is not Russia.

Same here, BWZ.

I agree about Crimea and other Ukrainian territory held by Russia unlawfully, VB, but Belgorod, city and oblast, is Russia. (Belarus is another country.)

There was that Russian oil depot that blew up a couple of months ago and was suspected of being Ukrainian sabotage.

Found the incriminating photo that located the Wagner Group HQ for Ukraine's attack. The helpful signage is in the upper left hand corner.

Wagner is well known for commiting war crimes, and has been linked to the recent mass murders of Ukrainian POWs.

Any news on whether they got the Wagner top guy as well? News article said he was visiting in that time frame...
Nothing on him so far. Saw a report from Kyiv guesstimating as many as 100 casualties buried in the rubble, with many command ranks present.

I did some historical research not long ago and got really in depth about the Russians and the Ukranians. I now have a full understanding of the absolute depth and horror of the genocide the soviets/Russians inflicted on the Ukranian people before WW2. It's on a scale comparable to any of the worst examples of genocide in our recent memory. I also have had a couple close Ukrainian friends over the years. Never have I known a culture with a deeper pride and sense of identity. The Ukrainians I've been close to were "Ukies" first (as they called themselves), and anything else next. For Putin to have tried to claim that Ukraine was historically a part of Russia and shouldn't even exist is about like saying that Japan is part of China. The Japanese might beg to differ. I know the Ukies do.

Russia is fighting to take what was never theirs. Ukraine is fighting for its very survival, and the Ukies have rich friends. God bless them. They will win, I know, but I'm horrified every day at what's been done to their beautiful country and people.

As far as I'm concerned, any place the Russians are launching attacks on Ukraine from is fair game as a legitimate target. If they promised not to use HIMARS on Russian or Belarusian territory, they should use something else..........
