Gave a box of my .45 Colt reloads to one of our range officers for his Governor. He asked if I needed any 45 Colt once fired cases for reloading. I said "Of course, never have to many cases." He gave me a bags of .45 Colt cases. I counted them when I got home and there were 410 cases in the bag. Got about half in the tumber as I write this. Good day!!!! Almost like hitting a jackpot!

I have to disagree. Not almost - you DID hit the jackpot AJ !

The last 2 RO's to give me brass, it was a matter of " So,How Many?" 5 gallon buckets of mixed brass. I keep brass for calibers I don't load just yet! The "Jackpot" for me was all the 351 SL and 30 Lugar.

Me too

I've got a bunch of 40 S&W, 45-70, 41 Mag, 308, 30-30 and others. Going to have to buy somein to reload those for I guess?

Good for you both. Our range stores empties in 55 gallon drums. Could probably have as much as I could carry, but don't ask for any as I have enough problems storing what I have. Besides I just keep on hand what I reload for, my last new caliber was 10 MM and have about 1000 cases on hand. 10 MM and .45 Colt seem to be much more difficult to come by at a range. Not many seem to be shooting them or if they are then they are policing their brass very well.

.351 SL?

Now that's a jackpot. Whenever I take my 1907 Winchester out I take a friend along to spot where the brass lands. That gun really throws them. Never know what county they will land in.

I sold a "friend"" my 401 SLR. Brass is really hard to get or make. He lost a piece at his home range. He just went to Harbor Freight when they had a sale...bought one of their el cheapo metal detectors. Before he found that one piece of brass he found 8 silver coins including a 1890s silver dollar. He told me not long ago he found some tools his son thoughtfully planted while working on equipment. He likes that old Winchester...shot a deer with it in December
