His dad had to leave early so I drove up and am doing breakfast for a 3 year old. Been a long time!!!! Watching him wake up brought back many memories. Poor little guy, I hate to tell him that it doesn't get any easier the older he gets. Scrambled eggs and blueberry waffles. Was instructed on the proper way to put them on the plate so the syrup doesn't touch the eggs. Was instructed on getting the proper fork-the one with the blue handle. Milk was in the wrong cup-had to fix that. I'm going to go back to watching him eat now, amazing how nice it is just to watch him eat.
World looks like it's gonna be pretty good today! :)

Like dogs, cute puppy breath when they are young. When they get old the dig up the yard, s#$% all over the place, and knock over the trash can. Afterwards they have the cute dog eyes which makes it tough to yell at them. Even now that my own sons are out of the house you still worry. No grandkids yet.

We have 3 grandkids. The grandson was born first and we spent a lot of time with him. And then the 2 granddaughters came along just as my wife and I were retiring, and they only lived 30 miles away, so we spent tons of time with them. Now the Grandson is 28 and the granddaughters are 20 & 21 and are busy on their own. Those years you get to spend with them when they are little is priceless.

So back home and he is in school/daycare now. Today was the first time I was alone with him without wife or anyone else to hand off so it was all on me. After breakfast and getting him dressed it was off to school. I put him in the truck and buckled him in. Had to go back to the house to get his Buckee's hat.
Driving to school when the following conversation took place:
Hey Jed!
What?
I have a booger.
Is it in your nose or on your finger?
In my nose.
I'll take care of it when we get to school.
But it is bothering me. (about this time, I'm wondering why he just doesn't pick his nose and eat the booger like most three year olds do).
I want a kleenex.
I don't have any buddy-just hold on we're almost at school.
I got it!
Don't wipe it on anything!
Finally I get to school, find an old napkin to wipe his nose and finger.
I look at his hands, nothing.
What did you do with it?
I wiped it on this-points to the fleece lining of my vest lying next to the car seat.
At this point it was just well.... **** it! :)
Got him into school, everyone shouted his name and I stood in the door totally forgotten.
Stopped by Starbucks and treated myself to a Venti Latte and enjoyed a nice ride back to court to sign orders . He is coming over to spend the night tonight and we are going out on the boat tomorrow.

What's wrong with getting syrup on one's scrambled eggs? Grandkids love that. I love that.:p

Enjoy it while you can. All my grandkids are teenagers now -- Grandpa is not as cool as he used to be. :(

That will change. All seven of my grandkids are adults now (ages 20 to 32), and amazingly I am cool once again.
