Awesome work, Guzz!
I really like those slide “scallops.” They give the gun a radical, almost futuristic, look.

Well yes I do.Hi Jim,
here is a M4506-1...
Hope you like it...
I had 2 469's and 2 669's sitting in one of my safes . None are in pristine shape , so I had an idea , which can be dangerous at times . I contacted Guzzi and floated an idea , I'd send him one of each . I told him he could keep one if he gave the other his "Guzzi" treatment . He's sending it on Monday , but he sent some pictures . If I can find a holster , this would make one h*** of a carry gun . I have a couple of S&W 20rd mags that fit this , but it does stick out a little .

The man issn artist . We here on the forum are lucky indeed to have Guzzitaco and BMCM to work on our s&w's . I don't let anyone else touch my guns .
It can be done, but it would require licensing from S&W and the BATFE, neither would be cheap. Those stainless aftermarket Model 39 receivers ran afoul of both requirements. Then there is the cost of actually making them. Add up all the costs and a new receiver might be almost as expensive as buying a whole Model 39-2.I have to wonder whether it would be possible to persuade someone to make a run of replacement frames. There was a batch of stainless Mod 39 frames made up sometime in the eighties IIRC, so I know it can be done. It would be nice to keep the metal frame nine mms going for as long as possible. I put together my multi-slide Model 639 to be the last nine I would need.
