Anyone going to watch this.
It could be a slugfest or a snoozer.
Paul has the power and the reach but if Tyson has the punch he had in the past and gets inside he could pull off the win.

I remember a bunch of us went to a friends to watch Tyson. S Marvis Frazier. He went to get some beers for us at the start of the fight and by the time he got back, it was all over. Under a minute.

I was a Tyson supporter when he first hit (no pun intended) the fight scene, but as his career progressed and it became apparent what his character was really like, I lost all interest in him. He turned out to be a real bum in every sense of the the word.

I agree. When he was with Kevin Rooney I liked him.
Once Don King got his claws into him, he took a bad turn.
The sex assaults etc.
I’d still like to see him win.

The passing of Cus D’Amato, who kept the Tyson fury in somewhat check, was the beginning of the end.

Living in Albany with Catskill where Tyson lived was only 35 miles away we got to see some things. Tyson and his crew used to come to the city looking for trouble. Get 5-6 rather tough guys in a hell raising mode and things could get very interesting.

Tyson is 58, Paul is 27. Saw some video of Tyson training and he still has a lot of power. If Paul doesn't guard for the signature Tyson move of a shot to the midsection followed by an uppercut, he'll be on the canvas in short order. I'll take Tyson to win by KO.

Imo if Tyson doesn't knock him out real quick, age will get the better of him. 58 is 58, even if he still looks well muscled.

This should not happen! Tyson was not very good at the end of his career as a boxer. What makes anybody think he would do better in 30 years! He has about 45 seconds to do something before he is gassed! Or maybe Paul will take a dive, and they will make a lot more in the rematch. I want to see real boxers. Not and old Man, and a never been.

Jake should enter the ring wearing those huge elf ears.
Absolutely watching, it'll be like Foreman trying to regain his claim to fame again. Go Tyson, he's my age almost.

This is going to be no different than watching Hulk Hogan v Andre the Giant...as far as 'entertainment' goes. I'll probably watch it just out of morbid curiosity, but don't really care either way who wins or loses. 14 oz. gloves, 2 min. rounds.....pa-leeeez.

Is it a circus? Of course. That's big time professional boxing. Look at Wilders chainmail and armor walk out gear. This is more of a circus than most, however. That's mostly due to Paul and his style of promoting a fight. Pick a fighter past his prime and have an easy fight to make millions. If this was Tyson fighting Lennox Lewis or any other heavyweight he could reasonably step into the ring with, Usyk, Wlder or Fury would beat him soundly, nobody would watch. To see this cocky Youtube guy get beat by "The Baddest Man on the Planet? People will definitely tune in. It's WWE style promotion applied to boxing. You have a heel and a face. Good for making money. Not necessarily for boxing. But Paul isn't trying to be the champion, he's just after the biggest payday he can get as easy as he can get it.
That said, I think he's not gonna like the outcome. Tyson may be 58 but he's tweaked the rules to fit him. Also, people have a perception of Mike that's misleading. All they remember is the power. For good reason, but his actual boxing skills were top notch as well. Mike made guys miss and then he made them pay. If 1/3 of the old Mike Tyson shows up tonight, I think he's gonna win.

My apathy is significant for lots of reasons, but ... if Tyson has adequate conditioning to last, I think he will prevail. A reasonable person could suspect that as a long time professional boxer, his technique is probably pretty good and will carry him through.

I think "circus" is the most polite label I can put on this event, and my distaste for Tyson's conduct in and out of the ring is significant.
