    What do you think?

 I think it's time to dump that shop. I know they need to make money off the trade, but with what you offered an even swap was downright generous of you! They'd price just the gun with the CT at about $600.

    Old 30-30 Ammo

You learn something new every day; several things if you use this forum!;) I've never heard or even dreamed of such a load. It really must be a niche round, aside from the fur trapper theory I can't really think of any areas that a FMJ .30-30 would come in handy. Nice find.

    Can I convert 10rd M&P 9 mags to 17rd?

From what I have seen of them, they are designed so they can't be modified that way. I guess it defeats the purpose if a simple spring change or similar can give a larger capacity. You can see the difference in these pics: 10rd and then 17rd.

    The head vs. the heart

A little off track, but I think of it as the reverse: the heart knows it's a good thing but the head works overtime thinking differently. Besides, you need both. :D We've all been here, thats usually the way it goes. The pros and cons of each balance out when you have both.

    Test-9mm factory barrel in M&P 40-

The benefit of an aftermarket conversion barrel like Storm Lake is that it is made to the dimensions of the factory .40 barrel, the only modification being the bore. You can see the obvious differences in the two factory barrels, and as always, YMMV. What works for one gun may not for another...

    3rd Gen 4516

"Keep your eyes open. They turn up when you can't afford them. Fixed " Aint that the truth usually. Mine luckily popped up when I was actually looking for a 3rd Gen. And they are single stack, 7rd mags.

    s&w mags

I've noticed these on my 4516 mags too, no idea what they really do. I guess it's all part of their "AccuGuide" design. Here's an idea, remove them and let us know if anything changes.;) Kidding, don't do that. I'm sure S&W put them there for some reason we mere mortals aren't aware of. I like...

    S&W 6906 Questions

Avast ye lubber!! Starboard is right.;) He he, pointy end...:D:D My 6906 shoots best with 147gr, but still just a tad low, could be me.

    What do you think?

YES!! DO NOT DO!! If you already have the 340 then you well know its benefits, it's as good as a J-frame can get. I would not sacrifice it. After all, you may miss it and want it back, then instead of about $480 for the 9c you would need $680! Ok, I may be a little bias. I've been wanting...

    3rd Gen 4516

Oooh, nice and shiny.:D You shouldn't be disappointed, great gun.

    Carrying in the car

That wouldn't be the Crossman Airsoft Holster would it?;) Its a bit of a shared secret here. For about $7 it makes a GREAT utility/range holster. Fits my 4516 perfectly. Very nice tip, I might try that.

What are the advantages of .357 SIG over .40 S&W?

One advantage I saw: during the Dark Ages (you know, about 2 years ago when ammo shelves were bare) 2 boxes of .357 continually sat on the Wally World shelf. They had more in back. There isn't a high demand for it, so in a pinch it would be a nice option to fall back on.

    M&P 22

Notice the specs, especially the fixed polymer backstrap (aka solid plastic grip). The feel is going to be nothing like the regular line. I was hoping this could be a great training aid, but it's going to fall short of that. It's more like my M&P BB gun than my M&P40. I'd rather see a .22LR...

OK, how about the Best Pizza??

50%? It's only 33% here... Today seems fitting to post here since it's Papa John's Monday Mania, and all large pizzas are $8.99. I like LaRosa's more, but they're a bit pricey. I also have to go with Papa John's for the wings, plenty of meat and the Honey Chipotle are the best I've...

    Mod 60LS help and ID

To me it looks like the top of a 4, but hard to tell. Mom's 60LS says 60-19 right on the label. Agreed, $400 isn't bad at all in top condition. The newer ones are indeed .357 (but rosewood grips and .357 do not go together in a J frame!).
