Me personally for my j frames I feel .38 +p is sufficient. .357 out of one isn't fun at all. Not saying its horrible but you can acomplish the nesscary results with .38 +p with better shots. Now .357 out of my k/l frames, different story...

I've got a prelock 686 with a 6 inch barrel and its def. one of my favorites. The beefier L frame has a nice feeeling to it

I don't think I would be too happy with a canted barrel. Just seems wrong to have something crooked on such a nice piece

I would have to say model 19-2 6 inch out of the many I own.

So what have you guys payed recently for 3inch stainless model 640 no dash ? It's about 90% condition and has smooth magnas. Lock up is tight and timing is perfect. 2nd what do you folks use a 3 inch j frame for ? I can imagine pocket carry is probably out of the question lol

I would definitely do it ! You can always go buy a new RIA 1911 but cant go and buy a new 586 no dash
