645 rear sight

I don't know if he's still selling parts or not, but you might see if Lee's Gun Parts in Irving, TX might have one. He had a fellow in there who was a fair to middlin' hand at Smith & Wesson repairs, so he might have some parts left over. I *heard* they were going full-tilt online shopping experience, but I couldn't tell you for sure.

Well, the site is still up! Good luck with your search!

The LPA sight works well, except….

The LPA sticks up and there's a big gap between it and the top of the slide. I could never get used to how it looked.

The rear sight notch is very shallow. I never liked that either.

The LPA that I have fits the rear dovetail of my 645 slide extremely tight. I'm always super careful about such things, but I marred the LPA getting it in.

Having said all that, Again the LPA did work well. It was satisfying to actually hit point of aim. But I ended up taking (pounding) it back off.

If there was a good old 'Smith somewhere that would "bury" a Bomar, like was done to 1911 slides back in the day,
I have at least 3 Smith 45 series pistols that I want done.
All my Smith 45 autos group very well.
But not a one of them, all fixed sight models, shoot to point of aim.

I ended up putting a factory 745 rear sight on my 645. It looks cool. But it shoots 5.5 inches high at 25 yards. That's kind of worthless.
