I have some SW tip ups I would like to mount it a vertical, felt-lined shadow box for display. I don't have trouble finding suitable boxes, but don't know the best way to secure the firearms so they won't slip when the box is hung from a wall. Experience and ideas?

I have hung one top-break in a shadow box and used fishing line inserted from the back and looped around the revolver and back out the back of the box. Seems to hold it pretty well.

A piece of wood doweling mounted with a slight off-set from the felt. Then just slide the dowel into one of the cylinder holes.....??

Using a 1/4" plywood back for the shadow box, use a brass "L" hook available at any hardware store. A Picture is worth 1000 words.
