I inherited this revolver. Would like to know more about it. If anyone knows, please feel free to post info. Would also love to know what kind of value it has.

Welcome to the forum.
You have what many here consider one of the finest 22 cal. revolvers ever made. Many here own them from the very earliest to all the different model 17s, which they became in 1957 when S&W started using model numbers.
Many here, including myself, consider inherited guns to be priceless and this is esp. true if from a close relative or friend. If it was just another K22 in a gun shop around here it would probably be $550 to $600. You don't mention the box so I take it you don't have it.
If you care to we'd love to hear the story of who it came from and any other details you might have of the gun.

Nice Gun. You're a Lucky Guy.
I have K2631XX and somebody tried to use mine as a hammer to drive nails, too.
You're gonna learn to love it, if you work with it.
As has already been said here, the K-22 Masterpiece is one of the finest .22 revolvers ever made. And, 1955 was a great year to be born.
Now, Go and shoot it some.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on being chosen to protect a piece of your family's heritage.

I would agree with what bamabiker said. We look forward to hearing more about you and your new gun.

I have 2 K-22s like yours. My son and grandson both fired their first shots with one of those guns and each of them will inherit one of them when I pass on. We have other guns, but those K-22's were the first handguns they handled and fired. A tradition has begun and they will pass it on when the time arrives.

Bright Blue. Yours is an early one for Bright Blue being phased in as standard. A satin blue was standard before the time yours was made.

Thanks for all the info guys. As for the gun, I inherited it from my Father-n-law who was an avid collector. He loved his 22's and had a variety of different ones. I've also got a 357 that I need info about and will be posting it soon so you all can evaluate. As for the boxes, I do have both of them, for the 22 and the 357. Thanks again to all.

I just got a 1955 K-22, #241288 last night on GB, a birth year gun for me. Hope it's as nice as yours, congrats.
