I have saved for a long time, and I had a very patient seller, and now I have a very special gun. A .22/32 Postwar Transitional Kit Gun that shipped just one day before I did in August, 1952. Thanks to the seller, he frequents this forum and has been alot of help to a noob collector with a lot questions. And thanks to Roy Jinks for his patience and willingness to put up with me too. Old Dominion,

That is just spectacular. Not only a very hard gun to find but even harder to find in such wondeful condition. It's a real prize and I couldn't be happier for you. Your patience paid off in spades. Would you mind sharing the serial # or partial # for a data base I keep to help members, either here or in a PM?

I am beyond envious. That is a spectacular example of one of the rarest Kit Guns. Congratulations! It is commonly believed that about 1500 of these were manufactured, but I don't know where they all are. I think the produced number may actually be lower than that.

In case you didn't know, that stepped half-round front sight is called the USRA or Pocket Revolver sight. It was first used, as far as I know, on a prototype Kit Gun in 1934, and then it was one of the sight options during the regular run of the 22/32 Kit Gun from 1936-1940. After the war, when Kit Gun production was resumed with the transitional model like yours, the USRA sight was standard.

Again, that is a really nice revolver. May I also ask for the serial number? I mostly track the prewar Kit Guns, but I try to snag serial numbers for the postwar transitional guns when they turn up.

Lee,
That's the highest number I've that still has the pre war style service grips instead of the later mini Magnas.

You might be interested to see the SAT that it came with if you haven't already:
