We have a one room show every couple of months. No beef jerky,
just a bunch of old guys hanging out and trading stories and guns.

I came upon a model 10-10 and traded with cash very heavily for it.
Probably about $700.It will officially be the most expensive model 10
ever for me. But I would probably do it again.

What do you think? The production date 3-302, is September 28th. 1993.
It is new in box. I've never met a Brazilian before but I sure like this one.

With his cousins, the model 547, and the 13-2.....

The 'standard' barrel profile as opposed to the heavy barrel.

That is one you don't see every day. Very nice

Please forgive my ignorance... What makes it Brazilian??? I saw the reference on the box but what is it denoting??? I'm not a complete dummy that thought you meant a Taurus but what am I missing here???

Beautiful! Congrats!

Locally, you would be in that just about right.....maybe only three years too soon. ;)

Very nice collection you have amassed. Regards 18DAI.

Hey Bob, it is one of the 'Brazilian contract' guns mentioned on page 175 of the Standard Catalog.
it is differentiated from any others by the full lug barrel and the shrouded ejector rod.

I figured if a really nice 3" model 10 is going for $400. to $500. these days,
a couple hundred more for this one was not too far out of line.

Heck, $700. doesn't even buy a tank of gas these days.

Nice looking "family" you have there. I hate to disappoint you, but you will never be able to chamber that "prop" round in your Model 10's:) Kyle

That's a very rare gun, as a Model 10 nut I am jealous:)

I always laugh at the Brazilian export S&W's, I always think "With all those good Taurus revolvers made right there, why do they need S&W's?":D

Awesome gun Allan,
Not very often you find an underlug barrel on a .38 caliber Smith.
Ejector shrouds are usually reserved for Magnum caliber guns.
ENJOY!
