    I found a decent 4" 586-4

I finally found one. Super tight lock up, minimal if any endshake, and timing checks out. Blue is about 97% only because there are two small "spots" on the barrel blue. It also has a pretty pronounced ring around the cylinder. Is that something to worry about? Is it indicative of a problem...

    Nickel 586

I located a Nickel 586 with a 6" bbl. It's nice, except the cylinder looks cloudy. The barrel & frame are nice & shiny. What causes the nickel to get cloudy appearing? Will it polish out? Could it just be on the surface, or is it indicative of something going on UNDER the nickel? It's a...

Tenntucker & fyimo, my deepest admiration, respect and thanks to you and your organization. My brother was KIA near Balad, Iraq on October 25, 2007. Our local Patriot Riders attended his funeral. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You are TRUE American heroes.

    MODEL 28-2

Prices for 28s are all over the place. I paid $375 for a 4" in about 97% condition about a year ago. BUt I ahve rarrely seen any in person that low in the past 2 yrs or so. I also see them up to $599 in similar condition. Generally, in my neck of the woods,(eastern PA)$450-$550 will get you...

Pics of 44 Mag 180gr XTP

I agree. I think you need a bit more crimp or else the bullets'll move in the case during recoil.

    38 special size question

Bruce Lee M is correct. You don't want the bullet to slide through the chamber. It should be a snug fit. It should go through with some pushing, but not too much. I suspect you over crimped the dummy round. It'll buldge the case, increasing it's diameter.

    AA #9 in 357

Anybody load 357s with Accurate #9 powder? How does it compare to 2400 or H110? I generally shoot 158gr lead SWC. I have a bunch of #9 and have never used it in 357. So far I just used it in heavy bullet 45 Colt. Thanks...

    Another 4" M19??

Ok. I have one 6" and two 4" M19s already. I found another 19 in about 99% condition , no box, but has original target grips. Fair price. The question is....how demented am I if I really want to get it? I already have 3 other M19s. I love the 19. Have any of you been confronted with the...

    Should I or ??

I LOVE nickel Smiths and would pay a bit of a premium for a nice one. But $600 is way out of hand for a 15. I probably wouldn't go much higher than $475. It's nice, but its just a 15.
