Sorry I can't comment on the G&G, but went the same route as many others after JaPes posted his cleaning thread. I picked up both the Talon and CAT M4 and are pleased with their performance. There may be a reason no is commenting on the G&G :eek:...just sayin'?

Mine is as it left the factory and slings casings further than I care to chase them. As stated...if it ain't broke, spend your money on ammo!

How do you like your Centerpoint? What distances are you shooting (accurately) out to? My old eyes are in need of some more help.

Welcome to the club. I went with a 1/2" riser, but am using a scope, not a red dot. If you surf some of the posts relative to red dot sights, you may find your answer already posted. Best of luck.

Agree with the above suggestions. I had a LGS order mine. Even with state tax, etc. it was still cheaper than buying it on line and paying for shipping. I did shop a few different stores and went with the least expensive. No regrets either!

Bobby, I ran a site search for "quick release scope mount" and came up with this: Smith & Wesson Forum - Search Results You can always refine the search to be more specific for your needs. I've sees this brought up from time to time...I believe Oneeye has a quick release on one of his rifles...

YHM makes a decent replacement. Midway (and others) sells them. Looks to have gotten decent reviews, minus the gorilla that snapped one of the allen screws.:eek:

As always, sound advice Japes. After installing the new gas block you'll want to make sure it is properly aligned to the hole in the top of the barrel. I would suggest running some cleaner down the gas tube, through the gas block and be sure you see it seeping out into the barrel. I had a...

Good article on removing front post sight (about 1/4 of the way down the page), and other AR mods. Pretty easy to do as well. There are also some other posts on this site about removing them as well. Best of luck. Assemble your own LOWER, UPPER, FREE FLOAT, TRIGGER, GAS BLOCK - Step by step...
