I doubt it. Those rails are aluminum and fairly light weight. I've got a Magpul ALS stock on mine which is heavier than the factory stock so, it should feel pretty balanced. Plus, I'm installing the 11" VTAC.

I'm about to order an 11" Troy Alpha rail for my 15-22 and wondering which Tacticool converter I need in order to mount it flush with the receiver? Standard or Modified or does it matter? I figure ill need to remove all or part of the tabs on the receiver. If someone here has actually installed...

You cant build an AR right now for a grand. You can buy one already built for that though. I highly recommend an M&P-15.

This is the first I have heard of the trigger issues. Do they use the same trigger in the M&P-15? The ALG looks like a very good option for $45.00.

Yes, it is just residue from the aluminum blocks. The finish should be fine. If a little CLP doesn't remove it, some Birchwood-Casey cold blue on a rag will take the residue of instantly.

Will a regular high profile S&W-15 gas block fit these barrels?

No. My favorite is my M&P-15 OR but, the 15-22 is the most fun gun I own ; )

I placed a phone order with S&W for a pair of 25 rd mags last week and received the backorder postcard on Friday. They charged my credit card on Friday as well so, I think they may be on the way already.

You need to replace the crush washer every time you remove it. Torque is only around 20 ft lbs . If the crush washer does it job, that's all you need.
