Just a warning!!!!!!!! Naval jelly is a rust remover, keep it far away from blued guns. For those who do not know gun blue is a rust process.

The color difference between the barrel and cylinder to the frame. You can see a purple hue on the barrel and cylinder. The grips have no S&W medallions.

Be very careful with any type of rust remover on blued steel. The blueing is a form of rust and that type of cloth can rub through the blue finish. Hoppe's warns of that possibility.

I was ready to buy a new handgun at Bass-Pro in Ft. Lauderdale. They would not remove the trigger lock so that I could make sure the trigger was smooth. That was the end of my dealing with them. That policy makes me think they do not trust their customers.

The shorter/early spacing was changed with the -3 on all the K-frame adjustable sight models. So models 14,15,16,17,18,and 19 -2 and earlier will use the shorter spacing.
