yeah...i polished the rebound slide and along with the lighter spring i'm pretty happy. thanks for the input...i was just curious if i was on the right track.

i have the wolff variety pack of springs for my 66-1 and currently use the 14lb rebound spring. i tried the 12lb, but it felt way too light and mushy. what's the most common lb. that offers both reliability and and a good trigger return in K frames? maybe i found it with the 14lb.

it's supposed to be flush with the barrel. looks like the wrong sight is installed. try Brownells

get the wolf springs kits and play around with them until you find what you're looking for. that's what i did with my 66-1 and it's very smooth and just a bit lighter.

MIM parts have gotten a bad rep in my opinion. people always seems to complain about them, but can't link to an actual failure. i'll be watching this thread to see if any pop up.

ugly...but function is more important. maybe a black one would help with it's appearance.?

it's legit. the target champion model and they are not all that common anymore. i would snag it for the right price.
